I booked this via Asia rooms and a little confusion on the rate but this was sorted by the time we checked out. We booked a Kasary Balcony room which was pleasant overlooking the mangroves, this i highly recommend it was very relaxing. The Kasary lounge when we stayed last september, (sorry my original review got lost in the mist) was not fully operational but we were looked after by the manager and one of the butlers who i know was from egypt splendidly. My daughter spent a night with us also and was accomodated without any hassle. The breakfast in the main dinning room was good though a number of families with small children were making a bit of a mess which was off putting but that is sometimes the way in the middle east. It did not distract from the main highlights of the hotel. Wonderfully peaceful rooms overlooking the mangroves, great service in the kasara lounge, great gym, the nicest pool attentandants i have ever met in 15 years of visiting the UAE, i talk to them all. I hope to go again in the next few week and i am sure it will still be as amazing.

The stay was just for one night but I found this hotel rather different from the other hotels in the city. You should really try to get a room facing the mangroves. It appears to be so serene and peaceful. The other rooms facing the city and the highway cost less for obvious reasons. The swimming pool overlooking the mangrove is another stunning feature. The rooms are quite good and spacious. The overall service was excellent. One problem was that the restaurants had very limited vegetarian food varieties. This has become a common problem in Abudhabi hotels, unfortunately. The other irritant was the Lavazza coffee maker in the room. Please can we have the old fashioned coffee maker or just a electric kettle instead? This fanciful gadget is not environmental friendly nor is it easy to use.

Room Tip: Do ask for a mangrove facing room. You may need to pay a little extra, of course. Secondly, the internet charges in the room are very high. Try to negotiate with the front desk to reduce/ waive the charges.

I went there few times for dining and business meetings
Lat time was today for business meeting, was the first time to be there in the day light
Although the Terrace of the restaurant having only 4 tables, I did not resist the passion to have my Lunch with colleagues there, i stood for a while till a table became free, and along with colleagues we had a real wonderful lunch

Hint: if you are going to stay in the hotel for tourist purpose, I advise you to go just few meters outside the hotel to the south side, there is a good spot where you can also have a kayaking in the Mangroves, its a real good experience do not miss it

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent visit to Eastern Mangroves Hotel & Spa. I do apologize that we were not able to accommodate you in the first place on our terrace, however like to thank you also for your kind appreciation.

We look forward to having you back in the near future, where you should try our rooftop lounge “Impressions” on the top floor with a stunning view over the mangroves.

If you just want a relaxing overnight stay in Abu Dhabi and a lovely Friday brunch then this is the place to stay. The mangrove view rooms are lovely with opportunities to see all sorts of bird life but the star of the weekend was undoubtedly the best brunch that we have ever had. Champagne, the best oysters, lovely seafood and almost anything you can think of , all of the highest quality with service to match, a real treat.

Room Tip: Worth paying a few AED extra for a room by the mangroves, check out the hotels own website for their weekend deals too.

We had a great stay in the hotel. The receptionist on arrival was very nice and made us sit down with some nice date juice to sample while waiting that all formalities are completed.
The room was nice, clean and spacious, equipped with all one needs to feel comfortable. It was such a pleasure to sit on the terrace and watch the sunset. So quiet and peaceful. It feels more like a resort then a business hotel in the city, while being actually in the city.
The Spa is fantastic; you really can unwind with the best of treatments. The staff is really professional and friendly.
The Thai Restaurant is just outstanding. It was a perfect blend of spices and all the dishes were just prepared to perfection. The service was impeccable.
Breakfast on the terrace with a view to the Mangroves- what can be better….We loved the food choices and even sampled some of the Asian Breakfast items served. Simply Delicious.

Room Tip: Do not miss the Thai Restaurant. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance.
