Excellent experience, brilliant staff, clean rooms, stunning views.... Food was great with excellent overall service.... Great infinity pool, and a very modern gym with an excellent outdoor promenade. This is my fourth visit so far, would easily repeat my stay there again. The room sizes are generous with a very suitable sized balcony. The staff make you feel very much at home and room service was always efficient.

Room Tip: Mangrove views

This is a wonderful newly built hotel located on the Mangroves along Al Salam street. This location lends itself to easy travel to the downtown area or Raha Beach/Ferrari World and airport. The staff in all locations are always polite, knowledgeable and professional. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The pool and gym are very nice. Claire who manages the gym has many activities scheduled in addition to running the state of the art facilities. She is very good at everything she does. The Mangrove Lounge is a large venue overlooking the main lobby. It is a quiet place to relax or do business with a very nice view of the pool and mangroves. Yasmine, the manager, is a lovely person who runs the lounge professionally while constantly maintaining a warm welcoming atmosphere. She is very observant of guests needs and always willing to help. The staff must be congratulated on their efficiency. I would like to personally thank Onesimo, Stavroula, and Meerim for making my stay especially pleasant.

Room Tip: Mangrove side has the best views.

This hotel is beautiful. We liked the pool and outside area as well as the room. It's close to the Grand Mosque, and we got a good rate for the room. There were many things we did not like about this hotel, though. My number one complaint would be that when we walked into our room, it was hot (they hadn't turned the AC on). It was around 45 C outside, so this was rather unpleasant. Also, you cannot adjust the air conditioning; you just turn it on and wait for the room to get cool. With the extreme heat outside (and the fact that I'm Western), I like a really cool room to sleep in at night. It took hours for the room to get cool, and it still wasn't as cold as I like it when I woke up the next morning. They should definitely install AC units that people can set/adjust!! We also did not like that the restaurants were booked and very expensive; there were no other restaurants within walking distance. Overall, I would not stay at this hotel again.

Dear fixureyes81

thank you for posting about your recent experience at our hotel. My apologies for not having made your stay more comfortable and that it has been overlooked to show you how to adjust the temperature setting in your room.

I still hope that the other facilities of the hotel will be convincing enough to make you return.
With kind regards

I have been lucky enough to stay in this gorgeous hotel for 4 nights. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and luxurious. There was even a coffee machine in the room. The staff are polite, friendly, helpful, welcoming and extremely efficient. Nothing is too much bother. There are a variety of restaurants throughout the hotel and the food and service is divine in each. As I was flying out late and my driver was picking me up at 6pm, I was given a late checkout of 6pm so that I could relax until going to the airport. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a top quality, relaxing stay. Absolutely stunning!

I have been coming to stay in this hotel since over a year. This is my fifth visit and all long stays. I actually choose to stay here each and every time. Its a beautiful hotel to start with, elegantly designed and rooms with views on the mangroves that are breathtaking. Service is impeccable and staff is so accommodating and welcoming. Needless to say, that after so many visits I know everyone by name and they remember me, even my preference for coffee. It truly feels like home away from home. The buffet in the morning is exquisite - the chef there makes amazing effort to accommodate each one personally. I recommend no other hotel in Abu Dhabi! Oh and the Thai restaurant Pachaylen is remarkable. One of the best Thai food experiences you will ever have.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view on the mangroves!

A stunning property, spacious rooms, modern amenities yet very traditional in looks, especially the rear view to the mangroves with nature at it's best. The Thai restaurant Pachaylen serves the best Thai food in the country. Breakfast is outstanding! I slept during my massage at their Spa, it was too good! Highly recommended for those who visit Abu Dhabi whether on business or leisure!

Let me thank you for the nice review. We are very proud of our Thai restaurant, Pachaylen and are blessed with the location overlooking the Mangroves which is a Nature Reserve in Abu Dhabi.

This is one splendid hotel.
I never stayed in an Anantara Hotel before, so its a great first impression.
From the outside its just another white hotel building. But once you get inside, it is just wonderful.
You are greeted by warm and friendly staff, an intoxicating smell of arabian incense, and a wonderful selection of juicy dates and arabian coffee.
The decor is in keeping with a 5 star property.
Rooms are spacious and very clean, the best thing about it is the beds, what a wonderful few days sleep i had in these beds! oh and theres are pillow menu :-)

Restaurants have an excellent selection of food from around the world, so you are sure to find what you are looking for.
Pool is not for olympians to train, but its not meant to be, and the Mangroves provide a fantastic backdrop.

One negative thing I have to say is the attitude of one particular member of staff to his fellow workers, it was not pleasent to see, and it just gave the impression that the friendliness portrayed to guests is artificial.

Alas, it is still a great hotel.

Room Tip: Choose rooms that are odd numbers, they provide a good view of the Mangroves, and the higher odd num...
