Food is just a little bit pricey (depending on the amount of meat you have) but it is mouth watering. Yummy. And take aways are always still hot when reaching home

“Saudi Cuisine at Its Finest”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 December 2013

One of the things that I am missing a lot from Saudi Arabia is their grilled chicken and bukari rice especially the salsa sauce with gerger. Having lived in Saudi Arabia for almost three years, this has been a part of my weekly, if not daily, meal! Since the UAE is also an Arab country, I am quite surprised to find out that there are only a few restaurants that serve chicken bukari or maybe I am not adventurous enough to look for it on this part of the world.

Luckily, last year new restaurants opened up along the street of where I live; Saudi Cuisine was one of those. It was just one cartwheel away from my flat, but it took me months forever before I was finally able to eat there.

The interior of the restaurant is interesting. It was designed to make you feel like you are really in one of the Arabic majilis and also so that customers can also experience how simple the Arab life WAS. There was no table at all. Everybody has to sit on the floor. No exceptions to the rule - full stop!

What I noticed was with the original Saudi dining experience, you get to eat in one big plastic sheet. No plates, no cutleries, no nothing. But here - they have modified it a bit and provided us with cutleries and plates

One order of chicken bukhari is good for two to three persons, depending on how hungry you are! And wait - they have the salsa sauce that I have been looking for the longest time.

The overall dining experience was fantastic. Will I go back there again? It's a big YES! The bill was only AED 115 and we left the place with a very happy tummy.

“It reflect real Saudi cuisine”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2013

To be honest, we tried only the take away delivery service . The food arrives hot and packed nicely. Our favourite is Saudi kabsa and Bokhari (either with meat or chicken, both are delicious). The size of the meal reflects Arabic generosity ,so, one meal is enough for at least two

“Genuine Saudi traditional taste”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2013

Wonderful experience of traditional Arab meals in traditional Arabic ambiance. There branch in Gava hotel is much preferable as it is more cost efficient.
My personal recommendation is Mutton Madfoon and Mutton Mandi, no body makes it better than them in UAE, followed by Kehwa with dates. There dessert is also recommendable

“perfect place for that old Arabian style dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 May 2013

I wish I had known about this place earlier, but am happy to have been introduced to it. My visitors will, too. You can reserve a family room for bigger groups, but you can also just pop in for lunch unannounced. It's quite an experience. You sit on the floor in a majlis-style area (cushions surrounding a floor area where the food will be placed). Your server becomes a guide rather than just a waiter or waitress. They have a perfect lemon-mint. (For those of you who haven't had lemon-mint, why not?! You may fall in love as I have.) They also have Morrocan tea. The food is fresh and healthy, but be sure to order salads, as it is not the same as in the Lebanese restaurants in Abu Dhabi - the meal does not automatically come with a massive side of veggies. The fatoush is perfect, the rice is tasty, and...I'm not a hugely adventurous meat eater, but...PLEASE...try the camel! It's surprisingly palatable! I would eat it over beef any day. Theirs is very tender and flavorful. Take friends, work colleagues, and family. This a sharing event! Even watching our waitress pick up the used items became entertaining.
