I would seriously recommend this restaurant as a "place to go". The staff were extremley helpful, even with a packed restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was lovely, with a great variation.

Still one of the best in Abu Dhabi. Fantastic chef Hassain Rammal. As well as the delightful staff of Susan and Mireem. Great way to spend your Friday afternoon. BTW the sushi is the best I've had in the city!

If you know Abu Dhabi, you know every place has a buffet. All of my local friends here say this is the best buffet in this land of amazing, over the top buffets. I have been here 9 times now. 6 lunches, 1 dinner, and 2 Friday brunches. I have found their staff to be most friendly and the food to be top quality. Of particular note is the sushi which is the best I've had in Abu Dhabi plus the Sushi Chef is so nice and skilled. Don't see what you would like? Ask him to roll it for you! Also Meerim is just fantastic! Even when they are incredibly busy, she always has a welcoming smile and makes you feel like you are the most important guest! Well done Meerim! Hint - if you come and it is very full, sit at the Sushi bar - it's the best seat in the house! huge bonus, the executive chef always seems to be on duty - need something and there he is. In addition - see master chef Hussein - seriously wxcellent as well as friendly. Come for the Friday brunch and make a day of it!!!

The food was a little above average, but much depends what you are looking for. Many brunches provide quantity rather than quality and Ingredients falls somewhere in the middle. With some tweaking it could be very good, but many of their serving stations fall short for this type of restaurant. We left feeling a little disappointed.

The ambience is great if you sit outside (in the cooler months) but the inside is rather bland.

Having lived in Abu Dhabi for almost three years, my family has enjoyed a fair array of brunches and we were keen to try the offering from Eastern Mangroves. It was a disappointment from the moment we arrived in the restaurant... staff still setting up, despite it being well past the 12.30pm start time and a general air of chaos. We waited patiently for drinks to arrive, which they did. We were pleasantly surprised with the free-flow option of Prosecco and the attentiveness of the wine waitress was the only positive about the whole thing.

On a first visit it is usual for staff to explain the protocol and set up, as these things can vary from brunch to brunch. We explained that this was our first visit and were met with a shrug, so we ventured forth to explore for ourselves. The majority of food was unlabelled and the main stations of interest to us were unmanned. When staff finally ventured behind their counters they were generally surly and uncommunicative. The overall impression we got was that the staff had no more idea of what should be happening than we did.

We endured the situation as far as the Prosecco would allow but left far earlier than we would normally have left a brunch. We had originally planned to return with friends the following week but cancelled the reservation and went instead to Sofra at the Shangri-La, where all of our (undemanding) brunch expectations were met.
