“all that glitters is most definately gold !!!!!!”
Reviewed 25 May 2012

we have just returned from a week half board at this property. it cost 2 billion pounds to build and it shows. it was built by the Abu dhabi government and is managed by the hotel chain Kempinski.

what a fantastic place; from start to finish we were treated like royalty. food is excellent, so clean you could eat off the floors and the staff are so helpful and friendly coming from 85 countries in total. It was blistering heat 50 degrees plus so much time was spent indoors but in the public areas there is entertainment for most of the day in the shape of pianists, harpists and other groups. tasteful and not intrusive.

this really is a palace ; jaw droppingly opulent and gorgeous but not so it made you feel uncomfortable. this is the kind of place that you need to experience at least once in your lifetime; pricey but soooo worth it.

we will return next year for my husbands 50th birthday ; this hotel so rocks that i still havent come back down to earth and the real world.

its one of the top ten hotels in the world ; would love to see what could top this !!!! i could go on but see it for yourself it has the wow factor in abundance !!

pool areas lovely; private beach even has security in the sea ! would recommend that you go on one of the organised tours of the hotel; believe you me your mouth will be permanently open at the sights you will witness.

Just returned from the hotel with friends, had a great holiday on the half-board basis, price was a snip compared to our usual hotel JBH in Dubai. We were upgraded to a Pearl room on arrival which was great, fabulous greeting on arrival and the rooms were ready straight away.
We were looked after by Dipak our butler whose attention to detail and instruction to his staff was absolutely fantastic, for our wedding anniversary he arranged a champagne surprise which was lovely.
The hotel itself is looked after impeccably but is a little soulless, you hardly see anyone!!!. The food was very good in the resturants, but you had to book 2 days in advance to eat, but when you did eat in the resturants they were empty, very strange. The half board option was good however, if you wanted lunch instead of the dinner you had to go back into the hotel, get changed ( men into trousers ) before being allowed in, very frustrating when in the same resturant for breakfast the dress code was relaxed, they ought to offer the lunch option at the pool bars to avoid the big hike back to the hotel and the inconvienience it caused. The drinks are more expensive than Dubai in the hotel. Overall very enjoyable and we would return.

Just returned from an amazing stay at emirates palace. Everything was fantastic; staff polite and helpful, pools were lovely, half board option was very good value. The rooms are a good size and house keeping was very efficient but my favourite thing was the picture perfect beach with clean sand and clear sea... Just amazing! Hakkasan was definitely worth a visit even though it is not part of half board. One bit of advice don't tip the butler till you leave, we tipped ours on second night and he disappeared after that! All together fantastic stay we wil be back. Thanks emirates palace

I have stayed at the Emirates palace 3 years running and I found this to be a wonderfull experience. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff, from a pillow menue to a DVD selection for me to chose from. Rooms are luxury, fluffy bath towls, crisp sheets. I am an extremly fussy eater, when I explained my likes and dislikes to the Chef, he made sure that when ever I was going in to eat, I had my dinner cooked fresh and to my requirments at no extra cost. I travel all over the world and so far this is my favorite place to stay.

Room Tip: Every room is great

From the outside the grandness of the hotel is apparent, however this being the second time to go there I never realised how low the ceilings in the place were. Yes there is lots of gold (including a gold machine) but its not really got the wow factor it had before. The room was of course impecciable and lovely corridors, the feeling you got at check in was how important you were and were treated as such. The small drink whilst you wait is a nice touch. They have done well to limit the amount of tourists and getting in is more checked than before. Price Check- the champagne for a glass was about the same as at the burj al arabi so not outragously different. However there was more business about the hotel than hotel this time. Less feeling this was a place to stay than a place to meet. Staff you cant fault, the rooms are spotless and the service caring and fast. Try to get a room not near the pool as can be noisy.

Arrived 4th Feb 2012 & unfortunately our sea view room was not available, after refusing to accept a lesser graded room we were upgraded to a suite. The suite was fantastic and very palatial.
Restuarants / Cuisine - Breakfasts were exceptional, plenty of choice and basically whatever you wanted. Certain hot foods are prepared to order & brought to your table along with fresh teas & various types of coffee. The general buffet for the breakfast was excellent and I can't imagine anyone finding fault with the selection on offer.
Dinner - our accommodation plan included evening meals at the Itaian / Fish / Buffet Restaurants. The fish restaurant was definitely our favourite, a lovely setting with excellent service and fantastic fish dishes. The Italian Restuarant was also very good. The main buffet restaurant was good but sometimes having too much choice was a bit overwhelming and the service at the tables at times proved to be a bit 'over the top', as soon as you had finished eating, a waiter appeared next to you to take away your plates so you had to guard your 'rest period' between courses!
Bedrooms - as we were upgraded to a suite I can only state that this was fantasitic, massive balcony, study & lounge area, the bedroom led on to a dressing area & a wonderful bathroom, all with high celings.
Public areas - extremely clean indoors and outdoors as you would expect. The gardens all around the hotel were wonderful, plenty of walks along the sea front with very wide pathways. The swimming pools were nice & quiet with plenty of room for sunbathing. As we went in February it was very windy on the beach and the childrens pool area provided a better suntrap away from the breeze.
General ambience - During the evenings there is not much to do in the hotel and the atmosphere was very quiet, bordering a 'corporate feel', I can understand why this hotel has won so many awards within the business sector as it did feel as if the majority of clients were there on business. Many business functions were also taking place in the public areas.
Abu Dhabi - It's hard not to compare Abu Dhabi with Dubai, similar standards of customer service, great accommodation and cuisine. Abu Dhabi is 'Dubai in the making' and is much quieter that it's neighbour. If you are after a very good hotel and a quiet relaxing beach vacation during the UK winter, this is one to consider.

Room Tip: Definitely req a sea view room as those facing inalnd have views of major constructin work.
