“An oasis of luxury in a big city!”
Reviewed 1 July 2013

As summer arrives and temperatures rise in the UAE, the number of guests at this magnificent hotel diminishes, which means fantastic offers on prices, quiet pools and beach as well as a sense of an opulent retreat which may have been made just for you. Yes, it is grand and overwhelming, gold glitters everywhere and the marble decor is definitely over the top, which reminds one that this is not a mere hotel, but indeed a palace.

Expect attentive costumer service, a personal butler on call, staff which are pleasant without invading your privacy. The room we stayed in (coral -king size) was huge and as opulently decorated as the rest of the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable, the mini-bar well stocked, luxuriously soft bathrobes and velvety slippers provided.

The hotel is HUGE, so it depends on which wing (east/west) you're staying, it may take you about 5 minutes to walk to the main dome and the restaurant where the most excellent breakfast is served. There is a golf car to take you from one pool to the other and a Bedouin tent with camels and Arabic coffee served by the beach.

I am not sure if I could stay in this hotel for a long period, as one is not used to such a grand range of commodities, however as a nice treat Emirates Palace made me feel like royalty!

Room Tip: The East wing is next to the kids pool, and the West next to the adults pool, so request a room base...

Emirates Palace is by far the most luxurious, opulent, lavish hotel I have ever laid my eyes on. It is mind blowingly massive. The hotel building itself stretches over 1km and then you have the grounds which we likened to a small city, with numerous pools and exceptional restaurants on site. You literally need a golf buggy to get from either side of the hotel. We only stayed for one night while transitting to Europe for our wedding and when the (outstanding) staff observed the rather large bridal dress bag we were carrying we were upgraded to a suite. The suite was amazing with separate dining area complete with a large silver bowl overflowing with fresh fruit, lounge room equipped with high end entertainment system, study with its own computer, master bedroom with huge bed and luxurious linen, a walk in robe, marble bathroom and of course a guest bathroom! The suite was appointed with the finest furniture and materials you'll ever see. There aren't enough words to truly describe how extraordinary this hotel actually is, you positively must see it for yourself as an at least 'once in a lifetime' experience.

I was in Emirates palace couple of weeks ago and overall I had a very good stay.

What I Like about the Hotel
- Food
Food is just to die for…. I’ve tried many dishes and all of them very delicious. Even though its bit expenses compare to what you pay in a 5 star hotel in Abu Dhabi, its totally worth the money. ( do yourself a favor and try the coconut and date macaroon in the coffee shop, you will not regret).
- Interior of the building
I’ve been to many hotels for the past couple of years but never felt this amazed by the interior of the building. Where ever you walk, you will find something unique. If you are into photography (like me  ) , you will be very busy.
- Pool
The pool area was enormous ( honestly I felt I’m in a water park rather than in a Hotel pool) and there are many different water rides which you can enjoy.
- Staff
All the staff ( except for the front desk) was really helpful and will do their best to make your holiday as pleasant as possible.

What I didn’t like about the Hotel
- Reception staff
Checked in process was not SO GOOD. I’ve noted that they offer a coffee and a fresh towel for all the guest that checked it, but I didn’t get any. This may be a minor thing but the first impression last for a long time. And the staff who took me to the room didn’t had any interest to have a genuine conversation ( I felt she was reading something from a guidebook rather than talking to a guest).
- Coffee/ tea making facilities in the room
As previous reviews have highlighted there are no coffee/ tea making facilities in the room. I still can’t understand the reason behind this….

This is by far one of the most outstanding Hotels of the world with service and opulence second to none. Its a little overwhelming to be honest. Your own butler etc will walk you to one of the hotel wings and provide you with a map - yes its that big its easy to become lost. Greet your private security guard on the way through.
This place is very breathtaking and I would have liked to stay a touch longer. A long soak in the tub helped after all of our Euro tours etc. Dont forget to check out the 'gold bar' vending machines (yes you read correctly) in the foyer in case you have nothing to spend your thousands of dollars on!
Breakfast buffet was magnificent. The Palace is a great stop over for a few days to unwind - but of course bring your cheque book!

Recently stayed at this hotel as a stopover. On entering one is amazed at the opulence of.and size of the hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive on arrival on arrival with cold towels and cold drinks. The facilities everywhere are first class with even a vending machine which provides 24 carat gold with the price of gold changing every hour. The quality of the restaurants and all other facilities is top class and worthy of a 6 star rating. However in our opinion it is not a hotel which provides comfortable and welcoming atmosphere more one of awe and obsequiousness from many of the staff. An example of the over the top aspects of the hotel is the cappucino with "gold dust " sprinkled on top!! An expensive experience but worth it once.
