The Emirates Palace is everything that you imagine it should be and all the fantastic comments you read are true. We arrived early in the morning for a 10 night holiday, we were greeted at the door with a cold towel and a tea. A room had already been made ready and minutes later we were there being shown the facilities by the staff. We are convinced that we could not have been treated any better had we been royalty.

The hotel is palatial, the facilities excellent and the grounds are like a beautiful green country estate next to a tropical beach, simply idlyic. We utilized the complimentary watersports and bicycles on a daily basis. Cycling round the extensive grounds and up and around the marina was a wonderful way to work off the amazing breakfast selection.

Special thanks to all the staff who collectively made our holiday perfect. There were too many to mention by name but Manukant and his colleagues ensured our day started with wonderful breakfasts and the young Turkish waiter, Habibe, in Mezlai resteraunt was particularly friendly. We also had the pleasure of meeting Bouchra Souizi the Kempinsky Ambassador who was most gracious taking time from her busy day to stop and chat to us. Ms. Souizi was about to go on her vacation, we hope she enjoyed her vacation as much as we did.

The Emirates Palace is an astounding hotel and we think one of the few hotels where you can be assured of the same amazing level of service every time you visit. We hope that we are fortunate enough to experience the Emirates Palace again one day.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent and the transport around the exterior of the Palace is great. Rooms in t...

We stayed at this hotel for a full week on a half-board basis which entitled us to eat in a choice of 3 restaurants and one buffet. Which turned out to be really good value, one word of advice is that all drinks including water are chargeable in the restaurants and at poolside. We used to take water from the room down to the poolside to get us through the day.
In your mini bar you get 6 cans of soft drinks and you can ask for limited bottles of water at no charge.
Our butler "Dipak Kumar Das" was absolutely outstanding, he has a tremendous local knowledge and great empathy for the hotel and it's region. Suggesting places for us to visit which we had not considered whilst looking after our every request. "Dipak" is a fantastic representative for the very high standards you encounter at the Emirates.
Taxis are incredibly cheap to get around in, the maximum we spent on a 30 minute ride was approx. £4 including tip! Just make sure that they do reset the meter when you get in, only once did we encounter a problem, when the driver hadn't reset, and I noticed that it was on 14.50 UAE, when the starting charge is 3.5 UAE. We arranged a chauffeur transfer to pick us up from the airport and bring us to the Emirates for 400.00 UAE. Although this might seem expensive we thought it was reasonable enough considering the Emirates have an agent at the airport who virtually greeted us off the plane escorted us through customs and collected our luggage before calling the driver and taking us direct to the hotel.
We were so impressed with this service that we booked the return journey.
We stopped in a Coral Room, Number 3409 which was on the fourth floor with a partial view of the sea. The problem we had with this room was that it had an adjoining door to 3410, unfortunately our neighbours were playing very loud music on a regular basis and so we asked the butler to politely mention to them that their music could be heard clearly in our room. When we return next year we will probably ask for a non adjoining room if possible.
Our advice would be to definitely go to this hotel as the service and grandeur are the best that we have ever experienced and we cannot wait to return in 2015.

Room Tip: East wing for quiet, west wing for families.

Besides the exterior that seemed fancy, the actual hotel rooms and hallways were average design and poorly maintained. There was barely any customer service, luggage was forgotten until multiple calls were made, no coffee machine / tea maker in the room, the only way to get morning coffee would be room service, or walk a long way to the lobby and wait for a long time to get served. It is not feasible to walk outside the hotel and take a stroll, because there was a long driveway. Overall, it is a place good for visit and check out the fancy decor (just fancy not artsy), and definitely would not recommend for stay.

My daughter wanted my wife and I to enjoy a lunch at this impressive hotel. Unfortunately we arrived at 2.30pm on a Friday and were told all the restaurants were either just about to a close or were already closed apart from the Arabic restaurant. So we enquired about the afternoon high tea, we were asked if we had a reservation, but as the place was almost empty they said they could accommodate us, (four adults and a well behaved two year girl). The waitress gave us the menu for the high tea which you can have between 2pm and 6pm, however when we selected what we want the waitress surprised us by saying no high teas are available as there was no more left. My daughter show the waitress the menu where it said high tea is served between 2pm and 6pm, but the waitress maintained they'd run out, which we found unbelievable so we asked to see a manger. The manager informed us that they carter for so many high teas and they'd been so busy they had non left. We said but it's only 3pm now and the place is empty, so we asked what can you provide, he told us that they could prepare a high tea but would have to change some of the food with alternatives, so we agreed to have the alternatives. He suggested we ordered two as it would be sufficient. When it arrived I wasn't impressed for 240 DHS each I expected a little more, and unlike many other high tea's I've had in the UK and other countries quantity and quality provided by Emirates Palace was poor. I would not recommend going there for high tea. Most people walking around this very large main area just seemed to be there to look at the inside of the hotel which is impressive, with a Pianist, and a flutist playing, and then a singer playing a guitar type instrument. One thing I hate in these high class hotels, and I've stayed in a few is when you go to the gents toilet, there is a member of staff inside standing around waiting for you wash your hands to hand you a towel and wait for a tip. The surface cleanliness looked good, however when you closed a toilet cubical door it wasn't very clear and it is these areas which are missed. I do not find this form of service comfortable. Short and flip flops cannot be worn in the hotel main area or eating areas. If men do get in with shorts when they seat down staff will ask you to cover your legs with a cloth like shawl. The hotel has won many awards so it can't be that bad, but high tea never again.

I stayed at the Emirates Palace for three nights in February, on a short break with my mother. This isn't the sort of hotel I would choose for myself - I generally prefer smaller boutique hotels - but it was a great experience to try something new.

Check in was faultless - we were given flowers and tea on arrival, and upgraded to a Palace Pearl room. The room was massive, with a big living area, bedroom, dressing room and bathroom. Outside was a balcony the size of a tennis court. The room was spotlessly clean and very grand.

Service was attentive but not intrusive when in the room. Out in the public areas there are a lot of visitors coming through so they don't seem to know who's a guest and who isn't, so it's a bit more hit and miss. There were lots of nice touches like fresh fruit in the room daily, and a butler popping by in the morning to offer coffee.

The Palace Pearl rooms are in the central bit of the hotel, which was convenient when coming in from visiting the city, but because the hotel is HUGE, everything feels a long way away in the hotel itself. The bars and restaurants perhaps 5-10 minutes away; the pools were a good 15 minute walk away at either end of the building. Once there, the pool was lovely. Waiter service with a buzzer was a nice touch, as were the hammocks in the water.

I had a lovely 90 minute massage at the spa on the beach, which was divine (if a little pricey).

The breakfast buffet was excellent, including a good selection of fruit and made-to-order juice, as well as local and international dishes. We also had access to the lounges at either end of the building, which offered a nice range of snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for no additional charge. We ate at the pool bar, too, which was a nice informal option for a light supper and offered a good choice of food (including vegetarian).

The Emirates Palace was luxury taken to a near ludicrous level - if it can be pinned down, they've covered it in gold. Even my cocktail had 24 carat gold floating in it. Everything is huge and over the top. It was perhaps a little too large and impersonal for my taste, but if you're looking for luxury, it doesn't get much more luxurious than this.

We stayed in the hotel for weekend. Almost all were as we expected. Here is some details.
1) Very good location with the biggest beach in the city center.
2) pools are divided for two groups: for adults (with good evening bar with cool lounge music) near East wing and for families (with river and sliders) near the West wing.
3) sunset views directly from the beach area
4) we were upset for the food quality (as many others). Italian restaurant has no view at all (book table inside) and food was so-so. Arabian restaurant has great interior design with tasteless meal (the dessert we got 40 minutes later after several reminding). The best food was Fish restaurant - fast service, tasty dishes, nice music.
5) SPA treatment is very good. I recommend to visit.
6) BAD experience - there is NO welcome drink - You need to serve yourselves ))))) at the table where there is no clean glasses ))))))

Advices:
- do not take rooms on the ground floor - there is almost no hedge from people eyes
- the first floor (second level) has the biggest balcony with Arch shape exterior.
- the best view will be from the top level rooms only (if Garden view)
- if You will choose a room with sea view NOT in the end of the wing - probably You will be faced to the white pavilions (they were built for Ramadan but looks like permanent constructions)
- take a taxi directly from the wing (do not go to the main entrance). Taxi fee is 3 times less than hotel car service. 6 hours rent costs 1.000 dirhams cash to driver or 1,200 if room charge.
- magnets in hotel shop were cheaper than in shopping malls.
