The hostel was your standard hostel. The in room lockers were good, the ventilation good. The breakfast was also really good, with toast, cereal, dulce de leche, coffee and fruit. The staff were not all that friendly, but the barman was. I would return, though the toilets/bathroom were not cleaned as often as I would like. Overall, the hostel had a good vibe and I met some nice people.

This hostel is in the best location compared to other hostels I saw in the area. It's just a few minutes to either side of the peninsula, making access to all beaches really quick and easy. It's also an easy walk to the port area, where all the major nightlife is, and the bus terminal. The staff is really friendly and accommodating, and they speak English as well as Spanish. No complaints with the rooms or lockers. Breakfast included. Only complaints - the bathrooms are kind of grungy (although to be fair, it is a beach hostel) and there is an extra charge that they don't tell you about if you try to pay with a credit card. Overall, great experience in Punta del Este!

This is the most I´ve paid for a hostel, but the location is great and the place is lovely. The rooms dont have locks (unless, I think, you book a private room) but there are decent sized lockers. There are towels for rent and locks for purchase, as well as a bar in one of the two hostels they have. The hostels are located very close to each other, and you are allowed to go in both if you stay at one. The one closest to the beach does not have a bar, but its literally right on the beach (thats not the one I stayed in, but since I had friends there I visited and its very nice). The place looks really cool, its clean, and the staff is very friendly. The beaches are literally a few minutes walk away, and so is the big bus terminal. The public buses stop right outside both houses, so even though Punta del Este is small, you have access to transportation. Close walking distance to the port where the nightlife is as well. They have free breakfast!

Room Tip: If you book with friends, make sure you all pick the same hostel! Its not a huge deal since they are...

Great location but impossible to sleep. Hôtel staff put loud music at 5 am in the reception close to the rooms. When I woke up to tell them they looked at me like if a were an alien who wanna sleep, the girl tell me good night laughing with her friend.

This hostel may be great in summer (it has that potential), but in the winter, go elsewhere. We booked a private room, and when we got there it turned out they'd given it to someone else. They offered us an upgrade to private room with bathroom, but made us pay the difference. When we got to our room we realized there was NO HEATING AT ALL and it was freezing. They put in a heater, but it failed to heat up the room during the two days we were there. I don't understand why they hadn't heated up the room in advance. Great location, but a pretty miserable stay-- it's a good thing Punta del Este is beautiful.

It's very close to the beach and downtown, where everything happens in Punta. I stayed in the room upstairs, that's very little but it's really calm. Perfect for a couple who wants the basic. In this floor there is a shower that's almost exclusive. All the people from donwstairs just doesn't know about it, so its very clean.
I don't know if I would liked to much to stay here if I was in the rooms downstairs. It´s the classic hostel there, a lot of people, noise, crowd.

Great location. Unfortunately my entire stay was ruined by the fact that the night staff have absolutely no respect for guests & the need to sleep.
I didn't pay $US30 a night to be kept up until 3am+ by the reception staff & his friends blasting loud music right next to the dorm rooms. Would NOT stay here again.
