Fairly Good location. A bit far from the main drag, 20 min walk from bus station, but it's nice to be away from things but still close enough to have some action. Staff is caring and superb. From the front desk they can see people walking up to the hotel and they run to help them with their luggage as there is no ramp to bring luggage into the lobby (need to go up some stairs). I guess this was not built as a hotel.
Ground of hotel were smaller than their website leads one to believe. Very compact but it does work once you get used to it.
Liked the lounge beds by the pool but they were dirty so I did not want to sit on them.
Breakfast is excellent. Someone commented on TripAdvisor that there were flies by the door in the breakfast room but I didn't find that. And if so, the breakfast room is huge so just move to a different location. There was always plenty of room. Loved the local pastries made by a neighboring bodega, particularly the flaky crusty pastry filled with dulce de lecce. I still dream about those. Pound cake was a bit dry though. Fresh fruit, eggs, a wonderful way to start the day.
Free tea during day but it was not very appetizing as tea is served in styrofoam cups. Nice gesture but it is really too hard to serve in ceramic mugs--just run a load in the dishwasher at the end of the day. Who wants to drink from styrofoam let alone what it does to the environment.
Bedroom was a bit sparse. Furniture very lightweight and doesn't seem substantial. Could use a dresser drawer to unpack. And a luggage rack (actually 2 racks if there are 2 people). Wifi had very good connection. Small Safe in an odd place at bottom of closet and very difficult to get into--have to crawl on the floor and there is not much room without banging into closet door. Safe large enough for my iPad but if I had a laptop I don't think it would have fit. Several things in room were broken. Does not seem that hotel is concerned with maintenance. Bathroom sink had no stopper so I could not wash clothes or properly wash my face. There were 3 bath products in small jars but they were not labeled so I could not tell what was shampoo or bath gel or conditioner so didn't use them. I could figure out the hand lotion but these items should be labeled.
These are all nit picky complaints. Hotel is solid and I would return.
Particularly liked the movies that you can borrow on a thumb drive and play through the TV. Worked well and was appreciated. Many english titles. More hotels should do that.
