Our stay at the hotel was incredible! Though the hotel is not close to the main atractions of Punta, it is located in a quiet and relaxing part of the city, perfect for getaway from all the buzz. The breakfeast was great and manager Marisol is a lovely person and tried so hard to make us feel at home! The rooms are confortable and clean. I strongly reccomend it for couples and families!

This is a fantastic little hotel. It was very clean and the staff speak enough English to communicate well. Great simple breakfast with fresh baked goods and outstanding coffee. They keep the breakfast out until close to noon so there is no rush to wake up if you have had a late night. It is family run and they are all very friendly and accommodating. It is 3 or 4 blocks from a nice beach area and they have free bicycles which are a little run down but they do the trick if you want a quick ride to the peninsula. We were torn between staying in this area or at the peninsula as we didn't have a vehicle and the majority of the bars and restaurants were in the peninsula. We made the right choice as it was great to have the garden and pool area to relax in. Although it is a long walk to the peninsula (30 minutes or so) it is very safe and along the beach the whole way. It is also a cheap cab ride. We ended up renting scooters for $32 American which we highly recommend so you can explore La Barra and some of the other beaches.

Couldn think of any other better option. The hotel was amazing, super duper clean, confortable room, very warm and really gives you the feeling like home. Unfortanally for me, the weather didnt help me in my first visit to punta del este, even thou it was spring, felt like winter (it was freezing), anyway its a 9 for me. The breakfast was good, too much sweets for my taste in the morning, but still great service. The crew was very kind, all made me feel like home. Great location near everything also they have bikes so you can go and check the neighborhood or go down the beach. I loved my experience in punta del este and part of that was this hotel. A 100% recomended for tourist like me who didnt know squad about punta.

Very peaceful stay, and the family running this hotel / bed and breakfast could not be any nicer or more helpful. The building is very attractive and unique. It feels more like a lodge experience you would have in the mountains (hence, 'chateau'). It is location just outside the core center of Punta del Este in a wonderful residential neighborhood.

The service was excellent. We had arrived late after driving down from Punta del Diablo. The hotel owner's daughter greeted us and checked us in quickly so we could make a late dinner out. We asked her for restaurant suggestions and also asked about vineyard tours in the area. We asked about one we knew of, which she confirmed was nice, and while we were preparing for dinner she contacted the vineyard and set up a tour for us the following day. She also called the restaurants she had suggested to make sure they were still open and not too busy (for reservation). She had everything detailed for us on a note-pad when we left for dinner.

We met the owner during breakfast the next day. She was really nice and asked all about our travels and even offered some suggestions. Breakfast was very good (fresh breads, ham/cheese, panini grill, many savory sweets, banana bread, granola/cereal, milk, yogurts, fresh juices, coffees and teas). I recommend sitting outside for breakfast. The setting is very peaceful. There is also a TV / living room with a fireplace, couches, and lounge chairs that is very comfortable.

The room we were in was a bit small, but there is a whole section of rooms in the back, so those might be larger. As for the room, the bathroom was completely renovated with contemporary fixtures and tile. The bed and room were very comfortable. There was a large flatscreen and a fully stocked refrigerator, along with a patio door leading out into a landscaped area. There were some parts of the room that I noticed were not updated during renovations, such as the closet doors and shelves (they finished renovating the entire complex in late 2012 and opened in January of 2013), but that did not bother us. If you are looking for a trendy, modern or fully renovated hotel in the heart of Punta, this might not be for you. If you are looking for an enjoyable stay in a clean, cozy, and charming hotel in a unique residential area, this is it.

One last note: we had left behind a camera battery charger with a charger adapter. We reached Montevideo and noticed then that the owner had emailed us (no mobile tele on us) shortly after we checked out and asked if she could sent the items somewhere. She insisted, but we convinced her to let it go or give it to another guest.

We found a reasonable price on Booking.com in mid-April, which is a few weeks into low season.

Follow link below for winery. It was an excellent tour, I highly recommend it, and only about a 20 minutes drive from hotel...

Really enjoyed our stay. The family looked after us amazingly well. I cant strees enough how nice they were. We were out partying and could have late breakfasts etc. The rooms were tidy, clean. The pool was nice and the atmosphere relaxed.
