Small rooms and very small bathrooms with almost no space at the shower which has plenty hot water but a lousy shower head.
The restaurant is average and overly expensive.
Its location is wonderful and away from the noise.
We got a good deal on prices as we were a big group of 17 golf players plus 8 wives staying here.
The reception on early arrival was not the best and some of our group were not happy at all

Near everything you need, yet far from the noise. You are awoken by the birds in this world-class hotel where not a single detail is overlooked.
A delightful team of young professionals make you feel welcome and always at home.
I would say this is an excellent option in Punta del Este.

Room Tip: The suites with balconies overlooking the garden are best.

This hotel is very nice, the standard room was a bit small. The picture on the net is of the suite, they didn't have available but it was ok. The bed was comfortable. The staff was very very nice.
My only complaint is the same complaint about Punta Del Este, ridiculous prices in the ALL the restaurants. The hotel restaurant is no different in that regard.
This hotel is really a boutique special property with many nice touches. My advice, try to get the suite!

After having a terrible hotel experience elsewhere in Punta I changed hotel to the Barradas. The welcome was strong and I thought "I'm onto a good thing here". But thats where the good vibe ended.

Food was overpriced (even by Punta standards). I found it funny the hotel was pushing "black river caviar" in their "well reknowed" restaurant but how they found playing remixes of Jay Z appropriate in such a "fine dining" establishment.

The pictures in the hotel lobby are weird and slightly perverted and dont belong anywhere near a hotel lobby. The rooms were small, the shower leaked, there was building outside our window...the list goes on.

The breakfast waitress staff have some issues with their job satisfaction (I guess this is possibly because this is the only staff member who cannot ask for a tip as the other staff do each time you interact with them - something I found very pushy)

My advice is not to stay here if you're looking for something special. If you're happy with 4th or 5th best, then off you go.

Punta del Este is the site for the rich and famous of South America. One finds long, wide beaches and many high rise apartments and hotels. Barradas Parque Hotel is a welcome relief from the intensity of the peninsula. Located in the Mansa district at parada nueve (stop 9), it is about 150 meters from the rio de la Plata side beaches. It is in a nice residential district, rather than the towering apartment complexes that start near to the Conrad Casino and which go to the point. The room we had (217) had a small balcony that looked onto an attractive pool area. There are three pools here (one indoor) and spa facilities. The room was spacious and had a beautiful bathroom. My only complaint is that the marble floors in the shower were slippery when wet (one is in the shower after all). We had a couch and nice desk as well. I am not sure that I am with the trend of having windows into bathrooms or shower areas from the main rom, but one could draw shades for privacy. Breakfast is nice in a rather common area. There are no sea views from the hotel as it is really quite small, but this was fine to us as it is an attractive property. Staff was very friendly and helpful with excellent english. It is a $10 cab ride to the closer side of the downtown area, probably $15 if you want to go to the tip. We walked along the beach and then on the boardwalk to town, which was very pleasant and took about 40 minutes. This is not the place to stay if you want to be in the pulsating beat of the downtown, near shopping and lots of overpriced restaurants, but is great as a get away or as a small conference (~150 people) venue.
