if you want to party then this is the place. The hostel has everything you would want, and everything works and is clean etc. staff are nice, showers are good, rooms are clean , everything was awesome. the Bar has a great set up and you´ll have a great time whatever youre into. Only negative is that several of the big dorms are located next to`, underneath, or above the bar, and so if you arent going out then there is no chance of sleeping until the music turns off. This doesnt really matter unless you have activites for next day planned, most of which involve 7.30 meets. Also breakfast leaves alot to be desired... bread and jam just doesnt cure a hangover..

Room Tip: Both big dorms we were in were near the bar or courtyard, ask to avoid if possible. The smaller room...

Very friendly staff
Clean rooms and common areas
Best parties in town!
Good food (they even have chips cheese and curry sauce!)

Be warned, you might never leave!

Room Tip: Get in the 4 bed rooms around the back, you can't hear the bar and get a decent nights sleep...

Excellent hostel and really enjoyed our stay. If you want a quiet room room this is also possible, we had dorm X and you couldn't hear any noise from the bar. We went to bed early two nights and got a perfect nights sleep.
The showers were lovely, powerful and hot water.
The bar was great fun with two happy hours, one for beer and one for vodka/rum. The bar staff were hit and miss, some good and some terrible, annoying and constantly looking for attention and free drink (American guy with beard) Russ, Irish guy from Tipp (mixture between Tom Cruise and Pat Shortt) were great and very helpful.
Food was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very cheap only around Bol. 30 for each. Porridge was massive and sandwiches looked good. Chicken curry, shepherd's pie, and stir fry were all lovely and the chips are nice if you want to share and you're hungry.
If you want to sleep and your dorm is near the bar... Hard luck cos the bar is very noisy until probably 3am

This place is absolutely mad.
Couldn't imagine what La Paz would be like without Wild Rover
The beds are probably the comfiest in all of South America, the nights out are silly good (but beware the personal tab is dangerous), its walking distance to anywhere you need to go in the city, the staff go above and beyond to help, the travel agents inside mean you don't even have to leave to book your next tour/stop.... the list goes on
Food could be a little quicker coming out but its tasty so I guess that's the reason for the queue.

Room Tip: There were four of us so made sense to just get a private 4 bed as was basically the same price as t...

Wild Rover In La Paz was everything I expected it to be and more, It had atmosphere, fun, laughs & I met some amazing people who will be life long friends. I came as a solo traveller and you just meet so many cool people and it really goes off at night @ the Wild Rover.
They also take you to a club @ 2am on a free coach for everyone staying at Wild Rover, then the party's just get more epic.

The beds were extremely comfortable, the staff were very friendly, I would say the food was a little bit pricey for the quality of food.
If your not into partying & having loads of fun this hostel is not for you, literally the hardest thing was checking out.

I'll be back Wild rover I had a ball.

Wild Rovers is admittedly a fun party hostel, with fairly cheap drinks and fun drink specials. They also served decent food (the BBQ special on Wednesday night was awesome), but all ordered food took around 30-45 minutes to arrive, even for food that should have been fast like an omelette. The free breakfast was underwhelming consisting of stale bread, jam, butter, coffee and tea, but they had a reasonable breakfast menu from which to supplement.

I was disappointed with our dorm room which was dingy, dirty, and dark. It was also loud. If I wasn't kept awake by the music blaring from the bar, I was awoken by the church chiming every 15 minutes throughout the day and night.

The washrooms were cleaned regularly with hot showers (although you encountered lines mid-morning for them). The courtyards were lovely to relax in, with lots of tables and hammocks. Wifi worked great in the courtyards, but only intermittently in the dorms.
