“Very good value”
Reviewed 27 November 2011

Nice staff, clean room, good amenities, cheaper than other hotels in the street... overall a very good experience.

Also, the travel agent based on the first floor sold us a good trip to Uyuni (much cheaper than other agencies we've asked to, and the trip was great). He speaks English and French.

Our family stayed at the Inca Room hotel for three nights. It was lovely, clean rooms, nice hot showers, free wifi, nice breakfast, right in the center of all the tourist attractions in La Paz.
Most recommended!

Room Tip: only the rooms on the first and second floors connect to wifi. otherwise, they have a computer room...

Spent a week in several rooms in the hotel. The rooms in the 3rd floor are better and has good wifi reception. In the last 3 days we didnt had hot water. We paid 70b each. In buttom line, nice hotel with nice clean rooms and good location but bad resturant and cold water.

We stayed here for 2 nights after paying more to stay at a worse hotel that ended up stealing our iPhones. The staff here was very kind and helpful. The breakfast was small but nice. The rooms are huge and bathrooms are very spacious and nice. They have elevators which was a big plus at this altitude. All in all you are not going to beat this type of quality for this cheap of a price.

Went there even after reviews of theft. Spoke with manager and felt that the problem had been over come. Over all a great place with clean rooms with good views over city

We stayed here for Christmas 2010 and New Year. The room was spacious and the en suite bathroom was really blissful as it had a bath with jets, powerful shower and hot water galore. The view from the front side rooms over the city is amazing and it was really cool on News Year eve to watch the fireworks from the bedroom window and drink champagne. Sadly, someone broke into our room whilst it was locked. We left the hotel for just a couple of hours to have lunch one day and on our return we discovered that someone had been in the room and stolen our Ipod. (the cleaner had been in earlier that day so when we left there was no need for anyone else to enter the room). Perhaps we should have locked the Ipod up in our rucksack which is something we normally do, but we still wouldn't expect someone to enter the room with use of a key. We reported it to the hotel manager and nothing came of it. The front hotel doors open straight onto the street and there is no security employed to monitor who comes and goes, so if the receptionist is chatting, or showing new guests their room or is absent from the front desk, then anyone can enter without being seen.

I am saddened to write this as other than the stuff stolen our stay at Incas Room would have been great in terms of the location, amenities etc. We had money zipped away inside a bag left unlocked (learnt our lesson, lock it next time) which was stolen and also clothing ( pants and a ring ) and strangely a phone charger. When we complained, the reponse of the hotel was to search our belongings ( I guess to make sure we weren't misleading them?!) and question the staff. While their efforts were appreciated, they also kept referring to a sign "hotel takes no responsibility for valuables left in rooms"which got me really peeved as I don't consider a phone charger and a pair of pants "valuables". To top it off we were still charged the full rate for our stay even though what had been taken was worth almost double! It's such a shame as the hotel stressed that this had not happened previously so it looks like one bad sort has left my husband and I regretting our stay at Incas Room. On the upside, the travel agent that runs out of the hotels first floor was FANTASTIC and went above and beyond to help us sort the mess out as well as taking us on a mini tour of the city and helping us buy medicine when my husband got sick. They never asked for anything in return and were such lovely warm people with great English! So my advice is skip the hotel but go to the travel agency inside for all your bus bookings and tour needs.
