“Great choice, great value and really good service!”
Reviewed 11 November 2012 via mobile

We stayed here for two nights ahead of heading south to Sucre, Potosi and Uyuni. This really is a great hotel, distinguished in the main by really helpful service and an attractive building. The rooms have nice character (not bland),  are spacious and all amenities work really well. Wifi struggled to reach our room, but there was a lounge area just outside that worked fine. Our room faced onto the street and had a small balcony. There was zero street noise. There is no lift in the hotel and unless you are well acclimatized to the altitude ( we were), then let the hotel staff haul the big bags around! La Paz is at genuine altitude and you will huff and puff. The hotel is well located for walking access to most city centre sites, being right next to the infamous witches market area. We found plenty of good restaurants nearby and never once felt unsafe. The hotel is a short walk from where the tourist buses from Puno arrive, so this is also a bonus. We have stayed in many hotels over 3 months of traveling in SA and know great service when we see it. The staff at Rosaria are superb! They could not help enough, no matter what the time of day. Well done to the team for making our short such a pleasant one. You deserve your EXCELLENT rating!

Stayed here for 4 days(3nights) while exploring La Paz. We had a room in the newer section of the hotel (back part adjacent to The courtyard). It was quiet, had lots of hot water. The only challenge with our room was that our shower seemed to lack part of the glass door enclosure so you couldn't help but drench the floor after bathing! But they did give you a little soap and shampoo, which was a nice touch.

A very tastefully designed room incorporating traditional textiles into the headboard and as decoration.

The breakfast buffet was stellar- lots of pastries, fresh juices, eggs anyway you like it, pancakes. They graciously accommodated early departures for breakfast too.

On site travel agency was great, we managed to book gravity biking with them and they had all the equipment to try on so we never had to go into the office.

Overall a safe and comfortable place to stay, though note that the wifi signal can be quite weak in the rooms.

we liked the location of the hotel, we stayed in a room facing the street, the noise from the street was ok, but not from the A/C ? outside the room who lasted till 11 pm, beds comfortable, but the bathroom very little and really very dated.
we saw a room at the newer part of the hotel, and these were much better. If we would go there again i would ask a reduction if we would stay in the older rooms.
Breakfast was fine, dinner nice if you don't want to take a taxi to another location. One day we had no hot water for half a day. Laundry service very quick (they wash but do not iron your clothes 1 kg = 1 euro)
a nice hotel after spending a week in the altiplano hotels with no comfort
but no 5 stars category.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Amazing value for money. We stayed in a couple of different rooms at various times during our stay in Bolivia and both rooms were good. I preferred the ones in the newer part of the hotel (at the back), but the older one was fine too and didn't have so many stairs to walk up (which is important when you're at 3600m!) The breakfast buffet was great (included delicious local bread and cheese delivered fresh every day). There is also a nice rooftop internet cafe for lunches. There is coca mate tea in the lobby available at all times. The heaters in the room worked very well and there were extra blankets. The staff at the Turisbus travel agency associated with the hotel were so helpful with planning trips and getting us organized. I highly recommend this hotel. The only issue we had was with a room assignment at the front of the hotel during a festival that due to go on late into the night. We asked to be moved and we were. The festival turned out to be great fun and we were out in the street drinking beer and dancing with the locals. If you get a chance to be part of this - lucky you! We also had one day when there was no hot water for showers (about mid morning) but at all other times the water was fine.

Room Tip: Rooms in the newer section at the back of the hotel through the courtyard might be preferred. Thoug...

It is a magnificent and comfortable hotel all the staff is very friendly, is the best place in the heart of the city. The rooms are beautiful this hotel should be category 5 stars. I was very comfortable, the breakfast is delicious were the best natural fruit juices, natural truth if I guarantee.
I recommend this place it is really close to downtown is steps away witches market where they sell all kind of things of the Andean religion of Bolivia.
This season is very busy and I was lucky to get a room, Marcelo and Ximena were excellent hosts, I love them; I appreciate them also I Loved the hotel's architecture. The personal of the restaurant were super helpful and you can tell is by vocation.
I also stayed in Rosario del Lago and I have to say that both places have a good management.
Yurema and Erika from Turisbus (travel agency within the hotel very attentive and friendly.
I congratulate everyone at the hotel. Keep it up!!
Greetings

I recently stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. The hotel has character, a great courtyard, and superb internet cafe. The service was great (especially Blanca!) and is in a very convenient location. I would recommend it highly.

I cannot fault this place. I stayed here eight years ago, and returned this year for four nights. It is without a doubt one of the best places I have stayed in and represents great value for money. I can't recommend it highly enough, everything about it is great.
