We loved this place! Nothing was too much trouble, the rooms were beautifully decorated with good attention to detail and the staff were always smiling; we particularly liked Ximena who was exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Thank you Hotel Rosario!

I had the pleasure of spending several nights here in June 2014. It is a charming place in a very convenient part of La Paz. The hotel is walking distance to many tourist Areas ( churches and the witches market) the rooms are comfortable and charmingly decorated with local art. The staff was very helpful and the hotel has their own wonderful tour agency for group and private tours. We took several. Only complaint I would have was that the service is very slow for lunch.. Great food but be prepared to wait. Breakfast and dinner are in a different restaurant.. Service there is much quicker. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We were in the back area which is very quiet but there are lots of steps and with the altitude that matters..

Very good hotel with comfortable and clean rooms, welcoming area to read a book, share a tea and internet cafe at the top of the hotel with good view on the city. The restaurant is also very good.

Make sure to ask a room on the rear side of the hotel, opening on the patio. Avoid the rooms on the front side, the street is noisy all night long.

After a few cold nights in Bolivia this place was a threat! Great experience. Clean room, Nice bathroom! The staff... Wow. We were in a parade and a joung employee made our day!!! (i think it was alexandro, sorry if I Don't remember your name) we really felt welcome. It is in a great street to, nearby the brujas market.

Hotel Rosario is an oasis in the midst of the bustling city around it. The location is excellent for exploring La Paz on foot and we found our room to be extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Although we ended up booking our trip to Copacabana through a different tour agency (mostly due to price), having their own on-site tour company is very convenient. I also loved the adjacent jewelry store--bought one of my favorite souvenirs there.

After arriving we had a bout of altitude sickness. The on-site restaurant was great because we didn't have to leave the hotel and they brought soup to our room. We also appreciated the (almost) always available coca tea. Breakfast is included and it's an adequate, continental-style set up with eggs prepared upon request.

We requested a street-side room and it was a bit noisy as others have commented, but ear plugs helped.

The courtyards are beautiful and we had strong wifi in our room. The accommodation itself was quite adequate--hot water, safe for securing valuables, lots of outlets and closet space, electric heater provided, comfy beds with warm blankets, and excellent service from the cleaning staff. My only complaint would be that they didn't provide facial tissue--minor thing but goes a long way in providing comfort.

We also took advantage of the computer lab to make future travel arrangements and enjoyed the lovely view of the city from up there.

Regarding airport access, our taxi ride from the airport in El Alto was cheap but scary. It could be we arrived at rush hour but I'd suggest researching your transport options ahead of time, if you're at all squeamish like me.

Room Tip: This really depends on your preferences. We prefer old buildings so we wanted an older room and requested street-side. Our room, 103, was a bit noisy but we liked being able to look out and see what was happening in the city. If you prefer peace and quiet, a room in the rear or off a courtyard might be better for you.
