Fun place to eat and visit with friends. For those who love beer, this is the place to try many different kinds of lagers. Food was great--and it is close to the best Hotel in La Paz, the Casa Grande. It is also in the heart of the South Zone in San Miguel.

Food is good. Relaxed atmosphere. I recommend the trout and gulach soup. Its been open for many years and has never disappointed me.

The food here is pricey by Bolivian standards (a meal with a drink will set you back about US$20) but very well-cooked and delicious. We both ordered the Jaegerschnitzel (66 bs each) and it came with a delicious creamy mushroom, peppers and paprika sauce - not 100% authentic but very very good nonetheless! We had no problem with service or food quality and would recommend for one looking for a good German meal and some delicious beer.

Go for the beer! Lots of choices. The service isn't the best. Grumpy waiters! The food is hit and miss. Sometimes we go and it is to die for, like real German food, then next time it's just down right horrible. Guess depends who is the chef. Great place to go and relax. Just be aware there are not really any non smoking areas.

The beer on offer is amazing. Some labels made by them! The Mixed Sausages plate was ample and augmented with tasty sour kraut and potatoes! The Mixed Salad was fresh & huge. While the Milanesa de Surubi with fried yucca was just merely okay. The Surubi (amazon river fish which has texture and taste of swordfish) is one of my all time favorites. But not with a soggy, lackluster breading and the yucca wasn't crispy at all. I wouldn't order it again. I will, however, return to order another day as the experience was wonderful. This Sunday Reineke Fuchs was packed solid 'til 3pm. And by just the sound of happy tables, it was fun times for all...
