I had an overall enjoyable experience at the Marriott Bogota.
The free shuttle bus from the nearby airport is convenient, and with some advanced planning, you'll be met at the arrival lounge with your name on a board and guided to the awaiting Marriott shuttle.
Despite the front desk being adequately (perhaps over) staffed, check in took more than 15 minutes, nonetheless, the front desk staff was quite welcoming and pleasant. As a Gold member, there was no room upgrade waiting for me, but access to the executive lounge was appreciated.
The executive lounge has water, juices, and light food throughout the day. The alcohol selection is quite limited, and it's behind a bar, accessible by staff only. You're limited to two (2) complimentary drinks daily, and oddly, you must sign a bill upon leaving the lounge that is eventually taken off your folio upon checkout - awkward and inefficient.
The bed was one of the most comfortable I've had across six continents. It's on the soft side, but for me, really hit the spot. Rooms are clean, relatively modern, and well equipped.
The breakfast buffet at the main restaurant was elaborate, and the staff throughout the restaurant was both pleasant and professional in their service - from a warm greeting to my broken Spanish each morning, to the hanging of my suit jacket, the team is tip top!More
