Description: This is a tiny and familiar restaurant. Customers like it because they feel like at home. It is the first tapas bar in Colombia and is well known by its contemporary menu, composed by traditional Spanish tapas like tortilla, Serrano, but also by its creations. They even have their own version of patatas bravas and they are actually very famous. The Serrano salad, the white fish in basil oil with asparagus and dried tomatoes, tha lamb burgers etc. Tapas go along well with a cold beer, a glass of sangria or wine. If you want to have a unique and personalised experience come to Tapas Macarena. Feel free to order what you want, ask the waiter or the cooks. And something else, the music is really nice.....

Go to this place. You will enjoy it. Food is very good and the staff is very good. We had the meatballs, blood sausage and patatos. All of them score high. The place is just excellent.

“Best Food in Bogota”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

We are currently on our honeymoon having just got married in Spain and I can without doubt say the tapas I've had here are the best I've ever had even better than Spain! The flavors in each dish were astounding. By far my favorite was the Pinchos! Would highly recommend their Patatas Bravas with aioli also. Very small restaurant we went for lunch unsure if you could book for dinner think safer to go for lunch as had heard u can sometimes have to queue outside for a table for dinner. We were the only ones there for lunch therefore could enjoy our tapas and bottle of wine without being concerned other people waiting on a table. All up would say restaurant would seat maybe 20 people! Def worth going!

“Amazing food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 April 2014

The best tapas me and my boyfriend have ever had. It is such a nice, cozy restaurant in a quiet street of Bogota. We really recommend this place. Try the beef (res) pinchos! Fast and good service. Suitable for couples or groups up to 4-5.

“Do not miss this place....”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 March 2014

Tapas Macarena was a blast. The food was tremendous (try the Pulpo, Ceviche y los jamones), and the selection of beers and wines were pretty impressive for the small place. The service was outstanding, and the waitstaff provided great recommendations. The area where this restaurant is located is a hidden gem. There are tons of other hip restaurants and cafes, and the area was perfectly safe and easy to walk around in. Tip: Go for a late lunch (1:30, 2:00pm) I am assuming this place gets very busy, but it is worth the wait.

“Had to come back”

Came back to celebrate the birthday of a friend and again were not disappointed. Even so the staff changed, food was great, service very friendly and the atmosphere familiar as always. Great that they keep it for so long now!
