Description: Tabula means table in Latin. We are rustic and shared kitchen. A wood stove is its heart. Long, slow cooking, huge slugs to serve in large wooden tables where food and drink abound, and where Francachella begins a feast of joy filling bellies and hearts of those who know to share and enjoy ours is the only reason to live.

“Combine with a trip to National Museum”
Reviewed 26 January 2014

Spend some time at the very fine museum and exit to Calle 29 and up the hill a bit for lunch only, right now. Nice sexy menu, but big portions, so if you get the osso bucco, go easy on the appetizers and sides. One of either will work if threre are two in your party. Food very good, a little pricey, though. Recommened for those with hearty appetites.

“Willing to Try a Second Time”
Reviewed 24 January 2014

When we arrived, the whole block was out of natural gas, so the restaurant could only offer a limited selection of items. We focused on small plates. The grilled octopus was incredible. The beef skewers were well seasoned and the tomato and avocado salad was a delicious accompaniment. Only the crab cakes were a disappointment, but I come from Seattle and have high standards for those! I'd like to return to taste the food when the kitchen is fully functioning.

The ambience is ideal... open, airy, a mix of modern and historic.

“Time for a slow lunch”
Reviewed 10 January 2014

This restaurant has great atmosphere, excellent service and very tasty food. There is an appropriate number of tables, so make sure you book in advance, especially for busy days. I went there to taste a tomato soup which somebody recommended to me, and it was delicious. However, there is something you need to bear in mind, you need to be plenty of time, because its chef takes his time to get dishes ready. So if you are in a hurry, give it a chance any other day.

“Terrific meal in a modern setting.”
Reviewed 30 November 2013 via mobile

We went out of our way to find this place, got lost a few times, and it was well worth it.
The restaurant is in a modernly renovated house, lovely high ceilings, very comfortable. Service is great, understated, helpful, but not hovering.
Menu is well thought out.
The specialty that everyone orders is their take on osso buco. We ordered a two appetizers and one main (not the osso buco), which was the perfect amount of food for the two of us. (Their menu even suggests this.)
This was the best meal we had in all of Colombia.

“Not much to say!”
Reviewed 24 November 2013 via mobile

The reason for this is, just about everything I read below is bang on!
This is some of the best food anywhere. Many of
my other reviews talk about the quality if the calamari I had, I love the stuff.
I also really like properly prepared octopus ( pulpo) no calamari here, but the pulpo was on par with the best Ive ever had, 20 years ago on a tiny Greek island. Here it's steamed for tenderness then finished in the horno with rosemary and oil. A taste treat. For those who like Osso Bucco, try the Colombian version, Canella, but don't order it unless there are at least two of you, or you want to take some home.
Take a look at the back of the menu for a recommendation on what to order for various size parties. It will stop you feeling stuffed for the rest of your day or night.
We made a reservation for Saturday lunch at 1 pm, we were the only ones on the list and the restaurant was never more than 20% full. Friday night would be another story.
