*Location - It's right in the heart of Zona Rosa where there are a lot of restaurants, bars and shopping. This also means that it's about 15-20 min from attractions like Monserrate and the museums. For us though we preferred being around good nightlife.

*Service - Everyone was very willing to lend a helpful hand when it came to directions, recommendations and tips on the area.

*Rooms - The rooms were VERY small. We booked on hotels.com though which may have landed us with the crappiest room. The bathroom had hardly any room to move around. You definitely couldn't have fit more than one person in there.

Dear guest,
We are conscious we have the best location in town for anyone who wants to discover Bogota best restaurants and night-life, in a quiet and secure street.
Service will always be our top priority, and we will transmit your kind comments to all our team.
Our hotel has different types of rooms, and you probably bought one of the 11 Classic Rooms, out of the 102 we offer. We strongly recommend you to subscribe to ACCOR fidelity club, LeClub, so your fidelity will be granted by an upgrades and VIP treatments , so you can enjoy much bigger rooms.
Thank you so much for helping us improve our guest experience.

Very nice 5 star hotel. The rooms are beautifully appointed with subdued burgundy paint and replica sculptures from the gold museum. It is conveniently located in Zona Rosa and 5 minutes walk from Zona T so it's in the safest part of Bogota and offers a great selection of restaurants nearby. I was most impressed with the service of this hotel. I did not realize that I had left my driver license in the room safe after my 5 night stay, but 10 days later, when I returned to spend another night, I saw the staff had recovered by license and placed it on the desk of my new room! I was so pleasantly surprised with their attention to detail!

The only con about this hotel is that the street right in front is part of the route of party buses, so on a weekend night it can get pretty noisy about once an hour until midnight.

Room Tip: Higher floors are better for avoiding street noises

Dear guest,
Thank you so much for your review on our hotel.
Surprise positively our guest is our everyday goal, as well as to serve them ‘with the heart’.
The typical ‘Chivas’ give a touch of the colombian folklore in our street, which is a mandory on their itinerary of the best places in Bogota. Fortunately the last one goes until 12am on week-ends, so it doesn’t usually affect our guests… on the contrary.
We will be waiting for your next visit, hopefully soon.

I went to this hotel on business and stayed three nights. Rooms are relatively small but the decoration is great as well as its location close to some of the best restaurants in Bogota. Staff is friendly and helpful regarding directions. Food was abundant and high quality. Will return next year.

The staff is great and the rooms are consistent with other Sofitel properties. The gym is average. The location is great for restaurants and shopping and hotel security is ever present. Toiletries are a little too perfumed with a very a masculine scent. The climate control system works well but is a bit noisy. The beds are a bit softer than those at other properties at which we stayed but still on the hard side of the spectrum. Breakfast was not included with our "superior room", which for the price was surprising. Breakfast has been included at other Sofitel properties at which we've stayed internationally. Room service was prompt and the food ordered wad hot. Overall the experience is good but perhaps not up to the price point.

I spent 5 nights in the Sofitel Bogota Hotel, as part of a business trip.
A very nice and elegant hotel, great staff and professional service. The Hotel location was very important to me - safe place with good reputation, near bars, restaurants and shopping malls.
The room was nice, clean and cosy. The Hotel restaurant was high standart, with good menu and delicous breakfast. I enjoyed my stay there very much and warmly recommends it for every Bogota visitor!

An genuine oasis in a dirty ugly city. I had was traveling alone and took one of their smaller rooms, the superior room. It was perfect for my needs. Excellent desk for computer work, large lusciously comfortable bed, etc.. The staff were enormously helpful. Arranged a car and driver for my dinner at Andres in the distant neighborhood of Chia (an experienced not to be missed). Driver waited for me there two and a half hours, then same driver met me at 6AM for the long drive to the airport (25 min on an early Sunday morning with no traffic). One of two major drawbacks to this hotel was the failure of design for electronic support. Outlets were hidden down by the floor, behind the bedside tables. A real annoyance to plug in your smart phone and your computer. At hotel of this caliber, modern guests expect multiple and easily accessed power outlets. But perhaps the greatest failure of design is the place where your suitcase sits. It is a shelf built into a corner and there is absolutely no light. So at night you have to pack with a flashlight or move your suitcase to the floor in the hallway.
