“Charming museum…fun artwork”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

Botero’s canvases are so joyful and full of life and fun. Couldn’t help but smile and enjoy myself from room to room. Same with his sculptures. Well maintained property. Well guarded, too.

“Give yourself enough time to visit this gem!”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

House in a jaw-droppingly beautiful house, this museum houses not only Botero's finest pieces but also pieces from other world-renowned artist (think Picasso, Giacometti, Calder, Miro, Klimt, Renoir, Degas, Dali.) And it's free!

“Must visit”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

This is an absolutely must visit place in Bogota, apart from the art works of the great Colombian Artist Fernando Botero, one could see paintings of other famous artists, e.g. Picasso, a very organized museum with helpful staffs, the surprise is FREE of charge, don't miss it!

“The Rotund and the Abstract”
Reviewed 2 May 2014

This is a fabulous (and free) museum featuring Botero alongside some of his contemporaries such as Max Ernst, Picasso, Dali, and Miro. It is a great way to spend an hour or two in Bogota especially during the drizzly afternoons.

“It's a lot more than Botero”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

If you are a big fan of Botero you probably aren't even reading this since the museum is already on your to-see list. If Botero's larger than life pics aren't your thing, you should still visit this museum. I am not a big fan myself so I was delighted to find art from Europe too. I generally don't care much for sculpture but this museum has a gallery full of pieces I could easily live with (that being my personal test of a piece of art).

I'm giving it 5 stars because of the diversity of art and the first class presentation.

The Botero Museum is part of a larger complex of museums that are interconnected and all free.
