My wife and I stayed at the Casona one night earlier this month. The rooms aren't especially nice, but the age of the hotel and the coutryard area do give it some personality that a standard hotel wouldn't have. The staff seemed exceptionally friendly, which generally created a positive environment at the hotel.

The location of the hotel is a bit of a mixed bag. It's more or less in between the Centro and Zona Rosa, which is convenient. However, for the most part you have to take a taxi to either one of these places. On the other hand, the hotel is also located in a very quiet residential neighborhood far form the hustle and bustle of the rest of Bogota.

Overall, it's an excellent price for a pleasant room.

If you are looking for a clean and safe well located place to slay with a reasonable price the Casona del Patio is a very good option. within a short walking distance from a lot of good restaurants, 15 minutes from the best shopping malls and the Zona T area (drinking and dining), 6-7k pesos by taxi from the Parque de la 93 and 10-12k pesos from the old downtown (la candelaria).

The staff is very friendly and helpfull, My room(centro historico one) was big and confortable. The bathroom could have a better shower and be least cold.

This is great little place to stay. The room was a little drafty but at the same time quite cosy on a rainy night. The staff was very friendly, helpful & very accomidating.
The only things that could be better might be more pressure in teh shower and some more comfortable matresses but hey for teh price ~$60 per night for Bogota it is marvellous!
Try the little resturant around the corner. great ambiance and beverages.

I stayed here 4 or 5 times over the course of 2 years and would highly recommend the hotel. It can either be classed as a no thrills budget hotel or an upmarket hostel, as there are dorm-style rooms with bunks.

Positives:

- Very friendly and helpful staff
- Cheap (average COP 80k (USD 40) a night
- Cable TV
- Clean and tidy, simple decor and lovely courtyard
- Communal living room with Internet
- Free wi-fi
- Good location near some good restaurants, shopping centre & cinema
- Decent breakfast including eggs of your choice

Negatives:

- All single beds, comfortable enough but nothing special (sheets, covers but not duvets)

Overall if you are looking for a high quality budget option in a good location, this is the place for you.

I spent 4 nice nights at this hotel. It's located in the north of Bogotá which is a very good and safe area. It's easy to move around the city from there. Buses and taxis are around at almost all times. It's a clean place and the breakfast is good (included in the cost per night). People there are friendly and kind. They offer free internet access but is not very fast.

Friendly guest house in a good location in the G Zone, but not close to the main restaurants or shops. Not fancy, but ok if one is on vacation with teenagers or grownups.

This is a nice guesthouse. The staff is very friendly. It is located in the G Zone (or Gourmet Zone). Safe area. The bathroom is ok and the beds were so so. For the price we paid (about $60USD) it was fine. The staff spoke little english. Breakfast was ok. Free internet.
