If your expecting Kew gardens, don't bother going. The gardens were built in 1879 and renovated in 2009. They are pretty basic showing local trees and plants, the gardens are kept fairly manicured and there are several wooden bridges over a small lagoon over grown with aquatic lilies. There are many places to sit, but limited seats in the shade. If you intend to spend some time under the trees bring a picnic rug. All signage is in French.
