Very Beautiful wooden church, lots of history here, truly stunning on the inside due to completely being build from wood.

“Nice place to visit”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

If you have seen the St Georges Cathedral you would not think this is the largest in South America. However, point to be taken it was newly resorted and looks very nice. In fact, Suriname has taken pains to preserve most of their historic buildings. Guyana aught to take a page from their book - the city is clean and the historical buildings are well preserved.

Wooden Built Cathedral, recently fully restored using original materials. Probably the largest and oldest wooden Cathedral in the world.

Amazingly beautiful place of history and worship. Welcoming and friendly priest. Right in the centre of Paramaribo which is the tiny capital of this wonderful relaxing old world country with the most lovely mix of racial origins.
