The rooms are modern and clean. Hotel staff was not so friendly, but they did try in some ways. There are 3 fast food places (including Popeyes chicken) in the hotel. Breakfast is served on the pool deck. Location is good for walking to local market. We toured with orange which has an office around the corner.

The hotel is very modern and located ion a main street. However there isn't a lot of night life in the vicinity. Some rooms overlook the historic colonial wooden centre and some overlook the pool & the Surinam river in the distance.. I stayed at the hotel at the start and end of my trip and had room on both sides. Rooms have balconies which is nice. I personally preferred the room facing the main street . Although there is a fair amount of traffic during the day once the businesses close it does become quieter. There are a couple of fast food places in the lobby area and a good coffee shop. If you like roti there is a good roti restaurant (Rooprams) about 5 minutes walk away.
The rooms are modern and fairly spacious. My only complaint is that there is no luggage stand in the room. .
The included breakfast is very good. A nice touch is that the hotel provides a boxed breakfast if you have an early flight.
Around the corner from the hotel there is a Royal Bank of Canada ATM and a money changer just a little past the ATM. There is also a tour operator ( Orange) near the ATM.
Staff at the hotel are very helpful.

Nice and modern hotel in the heart of downtown Paramaribo. Despite being open to the outside it was very quiet and I did not feel bothered by the activities on the street. Very easy to get a cab and the staff was very helpful. They even prepared a meal package for early morning flights and organized transportation to the airport. The gym was lacking equipment, there was only one treadmill and wifi access was difficult, you had to go to the lobby to connect. But overall a good place to stay and reasonably priced.

This is a very modern and clean hotel, and the service was exceptionally good. However, I was not pleased with the location for downtown Paramaribo. There was a more modern area many, many blocks away with more attractions and nicer restaurants, but as part of group travel, that was not the area selected for our lodging. I will say that my most favorite part of this hotel was the buffet breakfast which is included with the stay. The breakfast is served in a covered area beside the pool on level 3 of the hotel, and it's very nice to enjoy the weather and watch the bustling city from above while eating breakfast. The atmosphere for breakfast just couldn't be any better. I also enjoyed having a small balcony on my room overlooking the street as it was entertaining to watch the locals going about their work each morning. They rise very early there. Also, as all the rooms at this hotel seem to smell a bit musty at first, having the doors to open to the balcony seemed to help. Also learned that the AC needed to be placed on a certain setting to remove the mustiness from the room. Still, the room was very nicely appointed and the bed very comfortable.

Room Tip: Was not given a site inspection of the other room categories at this hotel. As a travel agent, this...

Perfect for business travelers. Perfectly located in the heart of the city. Step out of your hotel and you are on the main street with all the shops and restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable. The food in the hotel's restaurant is good, the service is great. The only barrier is the language but you can get by with English , Spanish, French, Dutch, German and Portugese. When it is mixed it is Taki Taki, the local language. Problems but fun.

Room Tip: Drink bottled water, book in advance. It is a great country to visit and still holds the taste of Eu...

This is a perfectly decent hotel in a good location. Service was terrible, but we came to expect that in Suriname. I think it was the language barrier? But I have traveled to over 50 countries so far and never encountered more sullen waiters and shop keepers.

The management was very keen to make us happy, always stopping us and asking what they could do for us. But whatever it was we needed....it never happened. A good example is pool towels. The sales manager stopped at our table and wanted to chat with Americans about how we liked the hotel. I mentioned that there were no towels in the area labeled pool towels. He rushed up to get some.

3 days later there were still no pool towels. It became a running joke with our group.

Food was not great, the breakfast buffet was OK. The restaurant had truly horrid sandwiches and very rude service. Luckily the location is great and there are lots of restaurants in the area.

The rooms were fine, not spotlessly clean but acceptable. This may have been the best hotel in Paraimaribo in years past, but it felt like a fading flower now.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the pool side. The street side is pretty noisy and you will not want to sit on...

We stayed there four times, using it as a hub as we traveled throughout the region. It's ideal for anyone traveling through the "Three Guyanas" [a common phrase but perhaps taking liberties given Suriname's actual name, reflective of it's desire to no longer be 'Dutch Guyana']. In brief, it's central, clean, reasonably priced, with comfortable rooms and a small but pleasant pool. Room are minimalist/modern--quite chic, with balconies. Breakfast is included and pretty good. Saw lots of guests making sandwiches and packing them for later in the day (fresh bread, Gouda cheese).

Room Tip: Higher floors = better views.
