“A bit of european glamour”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 August 2012

We stayed here for four nights in August 2012. We got a deluxe room on the 5th floor - for a very reasonable price through booking.com. The decor is perhaps a little dated. However that said, the room was massive in size (perhaps 35 square metres based on a non scientific pacing of the floor) and had a lovely view over the pool and harbour beyond. Lovely sunsets off the generous sized deck, walk in wardrobe and bathroom with twin sinks and massive bath were a plus. Hotel staff were very helpful and efficient at arranging air port transfers, answering questions etc. The hotel's lagoon pool must be at least 60 metres in length and is surrounded by lovely gardens. Not heated in "winter" so a little brisk - but spotlessly clean. We enojyed the Tahitian buffet dance show, and another night they had live mustic in the hotel bar. There is a bus stop with buses that take you into town just outside the front door. Plenty of snack bars, restaurants and a little grocerry store near by - so how much you choose to spend on food is really up to you. We tended to take the bus in to the city market (about a 15 minute trip past beautiful bays) and have coffee and pastries there for breakfast and a look around there. Mai Lin groccery store a few minutes away from the hotel has very reasonably priced wine and snacks! The Bordega del mar night club and aquarium near by are also a must. So , great location and facilities, would happily stay again. Get a deluxe room if you can, as the view makes it well worth it.

Room Tip: Go for the deluxe room if you can afford it. The views of the lagoon from the higher floor and lovel...

I stayed at this hotel in November 2011 with my partner. The pool is great and the location! We also had a large deck with we made the most of. The staff are also very helpful.

The only downside was the rooms are very old and the hotel is in need of a upgrade! clean and tidy just a bit out of date. The restaurant though was the best in the area!

Stayed end May 2012. I know the city well and come here often for work, usually at the Kanak-owned Surf, which is a bit more expensive. Le Pacifique is the cheapest of three interlinked hotels in the Nouvate Parc complex. I found the rooms fine, although as people have said, having pass cards to get into the lift area (which is kind of the entree to the hotel and daggy) was a nuisance. Also as a single traveller, I did not appreciate the hordes of school parties, who in this week were there for a swimming competition.
TV, internet, rooms all OK. Price pretty reasonable considering the nice pool and the beach close by.

We stayed here this month (July 2012 and also a school group) and the location was just the best for us right on Anse Vata. Students were attending Creipac French Language school and they got the bus right outside at 7.30 to school - just too easy.

The rooms were well serviced and I noted that sometime after the maids had left our floor an inspector came by and did a final check. Everything was clean thank you.

There is a small fridge, coffee and tea supplies and even a microwave, plates and knives. We took things like Microwave Popcorn to satisfy the kids cravings in the 5mins before dinner when they just cannot wait. Handy to have the facilities thank you.

We asked the restaurant for a special lunch of Escargo - where we ordered several dishes for the whole group to share - they set us up on the deck by the pool with plates and napkins and served us all kind of very special. A great experience for our students and great service by the restaurant team to make this happen.

Walking distance the the fantastic aquarium and lots of shopping and dinning. Also walking distance (taking the shortcut through by the aquarium) to bay de Citron - here there are more restaurants and cafes and also a popular swimming beach. (oh an also the best gelato shop!).

On the first Weds of every month there is a market and fair right in front of the hotel in the Fales - this was a fantastic evening with crafts and local foods. There is probably other events on using these Fales as they are a permanent structure on the beachside - check the weekly tourist times for whats happening.

So in Summary - great location, clean and tidy rooms, good service.

Room Tip: Le Pacifique is used heavily by groups - so if you are travelling in a group this is the place for y...

The Parc hotel at Anse Vata is part of a three-hotel complex. All share the large pool and restaurant/bar facilities. We had rooms on the top three levels at different times, all with a magnificent view over the bay, to the atolls. Rooms are large, with huge bathrooms, ironing boards, safe and fridge. There are fine cafes close by on the beachfront, and buses leave from a nearby stop to the town centre. However, they run only until about seven - in winter. There is an ATM in the cafe complex to the east of the hotel.
The highlight of the stay was the Tahitian dancing and buffet dinner, held on a Friday evening.
Desk staff were uniformly helpful, and I would recommend the Parc to anyone wishing for a hotel out of the town centre.

Room Tip: Higher levels more remote from pool noise, although this was minimal

Nothing outstanding about this property. Nice. Pleasant. Definitely past its prime and in need of an update and makeover. The room was quite large, as was the bathroom with twin sinks and spa bath. The bed would have to be the worst I have ever slept in out of all the countries I have been to. It was rock hard. After the first night of non sleep, I actually checked to see if there was a mattress on the bed!
Good value hotel if you have a breakfast package included. If paying for breakfast it wasn't worth the outrageous price they were charging. It was a breakfast buffet but very basic. Once the food ran out (esp the pastries) it wasn't replenished so you missed out.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful. We had an extremely early start on the last morning. Staff organised a HUGE breakfast for us which we picked up the night before from the restaurant.
Location is excellent. Beach across the road. Lots of cafes and restaurants and some shops quite close to hotel. Further up the road (approx 2 blocks) was another complex of shops and restaurants. Lots of choice. The 'better' restaurants had high prices especially alcohol. Big markup - $AUD40 for a bottle that could be bought for $12 at the local tabac.
Pool at hotel was large but no one used it. Water was cold.
Restaurant and small wine bar (could get a coffee and a snack) were attached to the hotel.
Balcony great for afternoon drinks and snacks.
Overall, a good but not great experience.
Also looked at Le Meridien before booking - too far away from anything. Would have been stuck at hotel or had to catch a bus or taxi in order to have more choice. Did walk up one day to have a look around but wouldn't want to do that on a regular basis.

Room Tip: Make sure you get a balcony room facing the pool. Great views.

Location on the Bay is very nice. Rooms in the basic hotel were really quite tired so I paid to upgrade to the hotel right on the bay cost was circa NZD30.00 which was well worth paying.

Internet Wifi was slow but okay for email.

Comfortable and helpful staff.

Room Tip: Higher rooms in the block right on the promenade.
