“Excellent Personalized Customer Service”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

I stayed at the Palau Pacific Resort early July and fell in love with the resort. The staff was amazingly and genuinely friendly. The activities director remembered my name and was so helpful in planning fun. The food at the resort was excellent and priced modestly for a resort. The resort has all the amenities of a large chain, but has the quaintness of a small, personalized resort. There was a small problem that I encountered, but the manager was very proactive and solved my problem promptly and efficiently which was one of the best customer service experiences I've encountered to date. I can't wait to come back to the PPR!!! Beautiful grounds, beautiful rooms, and excellent staff

Room Tip: I had a room facing the fish pond. There are fish feedings at 0900 which woke me up, but it was time...

For a land-based scuba trip PPR is at least equal to the Jean Michelle Cousteau resort in Fiji or the best Kona and Maui resorts. Dive boat at hotel dock, full scuba gear valet and shop on site. Excellent PADI dive guides, great food, pool, spa. Local lagoon is a plus for families and well inhabited with creatures despite being do close to humanity. Don't eat parrot fish. The night show on the beach and the local dancers are actually really fun and not as kitschy as you might think. Staff was friendly and relaxed.

Room Tip: Ocean front bottom floor is best.

I would say this is the only true beachfront resort in Palau. There a are a few hotels on the water but this one has a nice beach, pool, nature hiking trails, spa, etc. The rooms were clean but a little generic in terms of style. The staff is pretty good and the sunsets are beautiful. Not quite to the level of some of the resorts in the Cook Islands or Fiji but close.

Room Tip: beach facing near the spa seem to be the best.

Clearly the BEST and most expensive place to stay in Palau. It's expensive for a reason....it's a beautiful resort and everyone there is ready and willing to help you and serve you and make you feel right at home! Some people say that the rooms are dated...we didn't think so. It didn't seem dated to us, it was very authentic and nice. Very clean, very beautiful place! Take the nature hike at the back of the hotel....but wear comfortable shoes...it's long! Thanks to Tony, the chef during breakfast was AWESOME!!! So so so so nice and so so so happy to help. Always there with a smile.

PPR is still hands down the best resort in Palau. Even though it needs renovation to refresh the overall product, it's still very nice. Stayed there for a while ago, but never got around to doing this review. Staff are very nice and attentive.

Room Tip: Might not be your choice if you want to be in town.

this is so far the best hotel in Palau, the view is stunning, the each is small but so comfortable and pretty. Most importantly this beach was created longer than other hotels so it got amazing corals and lots of fishes by the the beach. so you dont necessary need to go to the ocean for a simple snoorkling or kayarting coz just the hotel itself is already lots of fun. it provides gree vest for everyone but gooles and fins can be rented at USD5/day. the view is excellet too, even when its raining! the pool is small but it s nice and welly mantained got even a hotel jacuzzi.
we stayed at a room facing the garden and later got a room ocean front, which was bigger with view but i find the hotel's shower and rooms a little old and older than the cheaper room so actually no much diff except for the view.
what i have to complain is the foods, a little disappointing both buffets at night and the morning bkfast, really not much options comparing with Royal Hotel(we went there with the tour guide we had and dinned there with a couple we met) which the variety and quality of the foods was better even it s more Asian style.
but i ll definitely go back to this hotel with my kids next time!! as our trip was just amazing!!!!!

This is the best hotel in Palau. Anywhere in the world, this would have been a four-star hotel; in Palau it is (the only) five-star.

Believe it was built 30-years ago. Some rooms are renovated, but most are not. Restaurants, facilities are also old, but relatively well looked after.

In any case, if one is going to Palau for the diving, this is the only European-standards hotel; not much to choose from.

Palau is diving-paradise, so please try it out. PPR has its own pier and (big, practical) boats from Neco Marine/Splash, so everything is satisfactory for a nice dive holiday.

Do not eat at the hotel, it is extremely expensive, not worth it. Take a taxi for 5 minutes and go to Drop-Off, Bottom Time or even Ben Ermii for a burger.

The beach in front of the hotel is artificial, but really nice. One of the few beaches in these islands.

Room Tip: Go for Ocean Front, lower ground rooms. Their balcony is a few steps away from the beach. Try Comple...
