I stayed twice over a two year period while living in Honiara. It is cheap, compared to the prices in Honiara, laid back, and although aged, it offers peace and quiet away from the noise and dirt of Honiara. There are trips to the volcano, and fishing trips can be organised with sufficient notice prior to arrival. The boat trip from Guadacanal is usually swift, beware of rough weather though, it can get interesting. The meals are good, you don't really need lunh, but don't expect toast or some of the usual condiments. It is a good idea to take your own alcohol, you will pay a premium for wine and beer on the island.
