We stayed here for four nights on our way to the more remote islands of Tonga. We were a bit concerned as the building is undergoing renovations. Our worries were unfounded as the always helpful people at the front desk got us checked and moved into our room. Room was newly renovated; clean, comfortable, air conditioned. Tea kettle with coffee and tea provided. Internet available at reasonable price. Close to Friends Cafe and Cafe Express and shopping. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed: January 2014, travelled with family

This hotel is under construction and has potential. Currently when you arrive you are greeted with a noisy construction site, and no signage. Once inside, it is poorly lit, and appears empty. The rooms are large, and have balconies overlooking the Royal burial site (green park mostly). If you want nice decor and scenic beach/ocean views then stay somewhere else.
Comfortable stay with basic necessities ( warm shower, working AC, small fridge and paid Wifi).
It is very conveniently located in heart of town near ANZ, Catholic Church, markets, and Friends cafe. Leisurely walk to waterfront strip ( Vuna road) where there are a few scattered restaurants (Although locals will tell you to take a taxi).
This hotel is only good value of you can source a discounted room rate (group buying voucher or similar), otherwise would suggest looking for better priced smaller villa or B andB along the water instead. If you book the hotel driver for airport transfer be aware that they charge per person. A local taxi will be cheaper.
The main reason we stayed here for the whole 6 nights of our stay was the good location, large comfortable rooms and friendly staff. (Nive is extremely professional, reliable and helpful).

Well lucky for us we were following a taxi driver after he offered to show us the way after dropping off family
Very nice person even checked us in otherwise we would have never found it !
We arrived thinking it was a building site ! All the downstairs was getting renovated all boarded up ! Reception area rolls of carpet just the desk no seats like the pictures on the web site very dark
We finally got our room which. We had asked for a balcony as we did not get that had to wait
Don't know why we wanted balcony nothing to see !

I must admit the staff and security very nice friendly helpful we had booked for 3 nights on a voucher Which we were going to cut our loss and move out !! Luck for us our family we staying at Black Pearl Resort which was sister hotel so we were able to move without a problem .

So really a shame they did not mention they were in renovations be nice when finished and a good location in town

Spend 5 nights here with my husband as we wanted to travel to the Islands for whale watching. Such a lovely place and the staff so friendly. Most would go out on their own way to make us feel at home. Rooms very large and very clean. Location perfect as we just walked around the block to get a few things we needed. Highly recommend this to anyone who wishes to travel into the Islands in the Pacific.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with balcony
