“In the Nuku'alofa center”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

The hotel is located in the center of Nukualofa.
Rooms are big with very high ceiling, and there is no more pluses.
The prices are very overcharged, 190 pa'anga for ногчь. And 10 pa'anga took as tip that is uncharacteristic for Tonga.
In the room there is only a window conditioner so very much hot, this conditioner can't cool the room 4 meters high.
I can recommend this hotel only to stop for overnight if there are no other options.

I've stayed at this hotel off an on for business trips over the last ten years or more. The good points: the staff are helpful and friendly, going out of their way to assist you and make your stay comfortable. The rooms are large and air conditioned. There is a nice small bar where you can enjoy a drink and look out over the main street of Nuku'alofa.

The bad points: the rooms are woefully in need of renovation and upgrading, from the beds, the carpet to the paint and furnishings. The lobby has a small dining area, but unless you book your meals quite far in advance, it's not open. It used to offer nice breakfasts and had a menu for lunch and dinner, but no more. It's a great location, being right in the middle of town, so it's close to everything. Once it's fixed up, it will once again be a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Make sure your room does not have a leaking tap or toilet

I love that hotel! I've been there during the big catholic "conference", so all food and beverages has been transferred to the venue, and the hotel was out of food. But the service was excellent, beautiful and lovely waitress. I suggest you a visit.

The previous review is spot-on. Old and tired hotel, but clean, with great staff. We had to get up and away by 6am to catch a plane to 'Eua. Two staff members ensured we did. Lovely low-key atmosphere and right in the middle of town. Paul, New Zealand

Well, maybe it was the fact that we'd been already been traveling for 72 hours from the east coast of the U.S., but this little hole-in-the-wall was surprisingly hospitable. The place is tired-----very tired-----but the room was clean and almost spacious (though the bathroom was teeny). The lobby bar overlooking the street was rather pretty with its ceiling covered with local tapa cloth. Although we arrived VERY late at night, the bartender saw us coming and was out on the street in an instant to help with our bags. All the staff was helpful and friendly. The in-town location was convenient to everything other than the airport. This is NOT the Ritz! Nor is it by any stretch of the imagination a "Western-style" hotel. It is what it is, and is adequate for those who don't need luxury (or are too tired to care!)
