This is an iconic restaurant in Port Vila. Service was a bit overwhelming with staff lined up wactching us eating! Food was good though. House wine a bit rough. Old fashioned atmosphere.

We first ate here 8 years ago on the recommendation of a local expat and thought it was fantastic. We have just returned from Vanuatu for the 5th time and have eaten here every time we've been in Port Vila.
Fantastic relaxed place with great food.
Highly recommend to everyone for a quick, cheap but lovely meal.

We have eaten here several times during the 3 visits we have had in Vanuatu. I kept thinking that it can't keep tasting that good after all these years, but the quality has not changed in 5 years. The steak is second to none and I keep wanting to try the other dishes but I just can't go past the steak with different flavoured sauces.
One of the waiters has been there for many years as we recognised him and the owner is there also working every night. The desserts are divine if you still have room after the delicious bread served with the wonderful meals. When we told the owner how much we enjoyed his meals, he drove us back to our hotel which was a pleasant surprise. We will be back as soon as we return to Vanuatu.

To be honest we arrived at this place took one look and walked away.I was convinced we were at ther wrong place. It looked like a cheap west auckland pool hall. As our familly were walking away cursing the taxi driver the owner came out to offer us a lift.
Turns out the actual restaurant is through the "pool room" out the back in a really nice almost garden courtyard which is totally smoke free
We came to this eaterie on the recomendation of a Vila Local
It was fun ordering escargot for the kids to try -actually quite nice to eat.
The food was tasty and plentiful. The owner was really nice to deal with
The bill at the end seemed apsolutely huge -dealing in Vatu does that. But in fact it was quite reasonably priced.

We visited this place on the recommendation of someone who we met on a day trip, who was a regular visitor to the island.
We got dropped off outside and I really wasn't sure if I wanted to go in, It looked like an American saloon! Once in, the table cloths were faded and the salt and pepper in plastic saxo containers but the place was buzzing and nearly full so we decided to give it a go, we had goats cheese salad and prawn cocktail to start and both had steak for mains, it was absolutely delicious! The other orders coming out of the kitchen looked great too, flambéed prawns, pizza and seafood.
Well worth a visit, one of the cheaper meals we had and very tasty.
Give it a try!
