Description: Ripples on the Bay, Vanuatu, is a small, four room resort and restaurant, located on beautiful Teouma Bay, a twenty five minute drive out of Vanuatu's capital, Port Vila. Our restaurant has a small but varied menu. We're known for our Asian dishes, but also serve great fish and chips, burgers and chips, and steaks. Bring your swimming gear and enjoy a dip in our pool after lunch, or contact us about staying over in one of our spacious, waterfront rooms. Contact details are on our website and Facebook page. A complimentary breakfast is included in our room rate. Restaurant is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday from 12 noon. (Open to in house guests every day.)

We had lunch at Ripples followed by a lazy afternoon on deckchairs by the ocean. It's a small, out-of-the-way place and for much of the time we were there we had the place to ourselves.

The food was expensive but worth it - some of the juiciest meat I've ever had in my life. Curries are the specialty here; for other foods the menu is limited. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, providing attentive service when we needed it but allowing us to relax undisturbed the rest of the time.

The tidal pool below the restaurant would be hard to swim in at low tide without treading on the marine life, but simply picking our way around the pool peering into the sandy blue water (wear reef shoes and take care not to tread on live coral) was one of the highlights of our trip. There was a beautiful assortment of tiny iridescent fish, clams, sea cucumbers, starfish and other curiosities.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Restaurant, Tabisini. We're glad you enjoyed your visit.

Just for the record, due to the two deeper areas, our tidal coral pool is still great for a cool down or a snorkle at low tide, with no risk to the many creatures which live in it. Corals and urchins cling to the sides, while fish, shrimp and other mobile forms of sea life are out of the way well before your foot touches the sand.

Damien & Sally were great hosts. The staff were friendly & accommodating. The food was good with rather generous serves. The bungalows were clean and well appointed almost luxurious. Situated right on the water front. This would be high on my must visit again list locations. Well worth a stay and Value for money! We could have spent more time there.

A BIG thank you to TripAdvisor for helping us find Ripples on the Bay!

We came to Vanuatu to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary and stayed a couple of nights at Ripples on the Bay. When I say celebrate I mean relax, unwind, and be spoilt, Damien, Sally & Barney certainly delivered!

Our bungalow was spacious and very comfortable with a world class outlook. The food was very very good, the veal chop in particular was top drawer. Breakfast was extra special, prepared and served by Damien and Sally before the staff arrived, it has the feel of a luxury B and B with the Pacific lapping at your feet. The fresh fruit salad and Tanna coffee was a perfect start to the day.

The rock pool was remarkable, better than any hotel pool I could imagine. The grounds are stunning and perfectly maintained with plenty of places to rest, eat or drink (margaritas).

We can't say enough about this place and the hosts, we will definitely return and will be broadcasting loudly to anyone who will listen!

We stopped in here for lunch yesterday. The place is very nice, beautiful gardens greet you as you enter and there's a lovely little lagoon to paddle around in. We had the hamburgers which were spot on, very fresh and delicious! Others had fish and chips and samosas. Good atmosphere and yummy food made it an enjoyable trip.

Thanks for the review, RhysyB,

Over here in the wilds of Vanuatu, it's always a pleasure (well, almost always) to welcome AFL supporters to our restaurant. A table 99% full of Geelong supporters is a rare treat. Just a shame that we didn't have a better result in the game that night. Hope your Hawks supporter friend wasn't too smug about it.

Hope to see you at the Grand Final this year.
