“Great family day out”
Reviewed 24 July 2014

What an amazing day out from pick up at our accommodation to drop off at the end off the day we had Friendly and knowledgeable staff with us.
We went with the all day pass definitely the way to go while our children 4 and 7 weren't so interested in the tropical plants and their uses there was plenty for them to look at in the garden and the playground was brilliant. The food at the tea house was excellent and with a fruit platter after this part of the tour there was plenty to eat. The animals in the park are great for the children with a few newborns there at the time of our visit.
The bridge walk is stunning!!!! crystal clear water and meandering waterfalls. It was managed with a tiny bit of help in one part by our 4yr old so I would recommend for a wide age range .
With the all day pass we got the bonus of tubing upriver and going behind one of the waterfalls .Changingrooms are on the grounds don't forget to take beachshoes if you are going in the river as there are some sharp shells which were pointed out to us.

“Tropical paradise”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

This is our second visit for the Waterfall Eco tour. This place is so beautiful. The rain forest and swimming in the warm river by the waterfall were exquisite. Our guide explained the many uses of the tropical plants and we got to taste some fantastic home grown tropical fruits. Next time we want to come back to do the bridges walk.

“A real adventure :)”
Reviewed 15 May 2014

I highly recommend the Waterfall Eco Tour at Eden on the River as it's not as crowded as the Cascade Waterfalls, which most people choose to visit. The hike to the waterfall is also downhill and not as steep as the hike to the Cascades, so this tour is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. My small group of 9 participants had the river and waterfall at Eden all to ourselves, which was lovely. :)

After a short trek down through the rainforest, where we were taught about the uses for various native plants (e.g medicinal uses) we were free to swim in the river or float on inner tubes and even had an opportunity to swim underneath the waterfall.

After our refreshing swim (the water was lovely) we each were each offered a coconut to drink. After a short walk back up to the main center our tour guide cut up a huge platter of fruit grown on the premises (e.g passion-fruit, grapefruit and star-fruit) for our group to try. All the fruit I tried was delicious.

Also a huge thanks to Peter "the Rock" our driver, who gave a fun yet informative running commentary about the sites we passed in Vila, while on our way to Eden on the River. :)

I'd definitely revisit Eden on the River to try the Bridges of Eden Walk, which other groups on my cruise raved about. :) For a real taste of Vila, get off the beaten track and visit Eden on the River. :)

“Something a little different”
Reviewed 5 May 2014

Eden on the River is a new attraction since our last visit to Vanuatu and we found it a little difficult to get information on this before visiting, so hopefully by writing this review I can be of help to others. We booked our own transport to Eden and just paid entrance to the Bridges and a swim, plus a fruit platter and juice after. Cost for this was 4400Vatu per adult (around $50AUD), compared with about $75AUD if we had booked it as a tour through Eden. We booked our private transfer with Around Vanuatu Tours and the return cost for 5 of us to our accommodation was about $44AUD total. We spent just over 2 hours here and that was enough time to walk the suspension bridges (the kids went twice), have a liesurely swim in the rock pool after and sample the fruit platter. The guides are all very friendly, their english is good and they are very informative on the walk down to the river. They are very professional in instructing how to put on the harness before the bridge walk and doing a safety check. The equipment is all in new condition. The guide also carries a first aid kit, rescue kit and satellite phone for emergencies. However, the bridges are a very safe and easy walk for all except the elderly and very young. The bridge isn't very high but does have some sections which have quite large gaps between steps - some of the sections are solid and some are spaced planks. The flying fox at the end is suitable for all. I wouldn't recommend this for someone who suffers from vertigo but otherwise it shouldn't be a problem. The swimming hole is quite deep - adults can't stand so children need to be reasonable swimmers or have flotation devices. This is not a challenging activity, but it is a fun way to spend a few hours.

Thank you for taking the time to review our product, I do apologise for the difficulty in gaining information on our tour, we are in a learning curve that is extremely steep. We do have brochure in the resorts but there is sometime a problem about maintaining stock. Also we are about to change our pricing structure, as it is now more common for people to hire cars or negotiate their own transport so the new pricing will reflect this. I am pleased that you enjoyed your day. I will pass your comments to the tour guides, they always appreciate hearing the feed back

“DO IT!”
Reviewed 26 March 2014

An amazing, fun experience. Lovely staff - very safety conscious. Climbing the bridges - each one getting more challenging - but what a great sense of achievement when you finish - loved the flying fox at the end. The river was in full spate so was very exhilarating - you can have a cool dip at the end. This is good for all ages - we were two ladies in our 50s! I almost wanted to miss my footing in order to have a bungy experience... Thanks to Elora and the girls for a wonderful visit. Also loved the tropical fruit at the end.
