I've been putting off writing this review because I didn't know where to start. It was amazing from the moment we arrived and were greeted by the Managers - Belinda and Andrew and the resort dog, Pierra - to our sad farewell 10 days later. I needed another week at least.

The weather in August was perfect for moving around without being too hot and the water was always warm. One of the hi-lights for me was the evening I was floating in the bay in front of the resort at 5.30 watching the sun setting in front of me. Magical !

I also loved using the kayaks which Ben or one of the other friendly staff would happily carry down to the water for us. A couple of the kayaks have a glass bottom section for looking at the fish and star-fish.

A couple of times, Pierra came for a walk with us and we enjoyed a swim/dog paddle together.

Happy Hour 5 - 6pm was always an enjoyable part of the day and a very nice prelude to a delicious and well presented dinner. the staff were happy to set up a table for us any-where that took our fancy. The atmosphere was helped by the beautiful flower arrangements and candles set up everywhere and the dim lighting. however, having a little torch came in handy at times.

The continental/tropical breakfast included in the tariff was delicious and perfectly adequate to see us through the day.

The bungalow was rustic, bright during the day, comfortable, clean and perfectly safe. It was so nice to be able to walk out, leaving everything open and not bother taking anything with you other than a camera. At that time of year, the ceiling fans were fine and sometimes not needed at night. The only bugs I saw were little moths while the lights were on.

Another lovely feature of the bungalow was the outdoor setting complete with hammock.

So many choices of areas to spend time relaxing and reading. And of course, there was the Massage Hut. We had 2 wonderful and very professional 1 hour massages.

Paradise Cove is a little way out of town - about 25 minutes drive - but it's so easy to get one of the little buses for 300 vatu if you want to spend time looking around other places and shops in town. In the Bar they have a board that you can put your room number on to book either a 9.30am or 1.30pm bus each day. Then coming back is as easy as waving down one of the same little buses wherever you happen to be at the time. So being out of the way in such a beautiful part of Pt Vila is not a problem at all.

Being so small and intimate, all the staff knew our names, so that made for a very friendly and family type of atmosphere.

The resort is about 10 minutes walk to the local village of Pango and you're welcome to visit the School or one of the Churches. Which we did and had a wonderful "happy clappy" experience which lasted for more than 2.5 hours.

I will go back to Vila one day because there is still so much to see and do. And i will be happy to book into paradise Cove.

I travelled with a friend, but would feel perfectly safe going on my own.

Hello to Belinda and Andrew and please pass on my thanks to Ben and every one else.

And of course, a big sloppy kiss for Pierra.

Christine O

From our ecstatic welcome to our tearful departure Paradise Cove's staff were attentive, hospitable and generous. Every day was suitable for snorkelling or kayaking or lounging by the beach. Our doorway was decorated with a palm leaf arch with sprays of flowers when we arrived and fresh flowers were added daily. No-one was too busy or rushed to stop and talk and the managers, Belinda and Andrew, were helpful, attentive and thoughtful hosts. Their modelling of such friendly behaviour encouraged all guests to behave in the same warm, relaxed fashion so that the atmosphere at PC was amiable and fun. The organising of tours, transfers or other services was speedily effected when needed. As for the garden surroundings, the resort was beautifully maintained and landscaped, a pleasure to walk in.

As of November 1st, the resort is under new management and ownership. These owners face a real challenge to match the quality of hospitality and management established by Andrew and Belinda. If they cannot do that, the unique attractiveness of the resort is in danger. If they do, Paradise Cove will hopefully continue to live up to its name and we will surely return to enjoy colourful sunsets and passing cruiseliners.

Room Tip: All rooms are attractively furnished with local artefacts and furniture.

My partner and I have just returned from 6 days at Paradise Cove Resort. What a place! Set in the tranquil grounds of a beautifully maintained tropical garden with a private beach and jetty at the end of the garden where we could swim and snorkel in the warm waters ... a stunning location. So peaceful and laid back but with easy access to anything more adventurous if we wanted it. The staff are the most genuinely warm, friendly yet highly professional staff I have experienced in holiday accommodation. Nothing was too much trouble and all requests were responded to promptly with ease. I was sick on the last night and Ben, the bar manager, went out of his way to check whether I needed medical attention and organised room service for us so I could rest. Such superb service. So nice to have a break from the hustle and bustle of a big city to a small peaceful resort where we felt so welcome. Paradise Cove Resort is a really lovely community. Excellent food too. We didn't bother eating out anywhere else!

I recently stayed at Paradise Cove with my husband and two 14 year olds. We all had a fantastic time. There was plenty of beautiful snorkelling just off the private jetty. The fish and coral are amazing. The snorkelling is safe to do all throughout the day and is not affected at all by the tides. There are also canoes available that could be used to explore the surrounding coastline. All of the staff we very freindly and helpful at all times. Belinda and Andrew were perfect hosts. Dinner was set up for us one night on the jetty at sunset, what a beautiful treat. The food was wonderful at every meal, (steak is a must ). Fresh local produce was used and it was always delicious. My daughter and her friend both have food allergies but we did not have any problems at any time with any of the food. The location is perfect if you want to sit around and relax, and daily tours and buses to Port Vila are readily available throughout the day if you want to do something more with your day. We all would highly recommend Paradise Cove and look forward to going back in the future.

My wife and I had a truly wonderful holiday at Paradise Cove. Amazingly friendly staff, beautiful relaxed location & fantastic snorkeling 50m from our room! I read some of the bad reviews of this place before arriving & they are either hopelessly dated, or sadly deluded as I cannot speak highly enough of this place.
The location was indeed away from Port Vila (~10km), but it is relatively easy to catch a minivan, or walk (we did get some funny looks for doing that, took just under 2h). This was a plus in our book, as it wasn't overly busy/noisy & made it easy to unwind.

Thank you to everyone there for a memorable holiday!

Room Tip: Only 10 bungalows, we were closest to the beach, but even the furthest was not that far away.

We took a holiday to escape our winter and stayed at Paradise Cove Resourt and I take great pleasure to encourage so many others to discover this place staffed with lovely helpful and able people. The location is perfect allowing for privacy but also right beside some of the most stunning coral and marine life. We had an absoloutly lovely stay and I have no doubts so many others will also. Thank you so very much for having us!

True to its name, this is a delightful, small, coastal retreat only 20 min by bus from downtown Port Vila. The crystal clear waters off the beach offer some of the best off-beach snorkelling (in terms of fish diversity and abundance) we've ever encountered. It was a joy to swim off the pier every day. The near-shore coral has suffered from bleaching - but if you take one of the excellent day trips to the outer reefs you will also see a wealth of live coral.
Our fale (10) was temporarily without working cooker - but it looked as if the kitchen equipment would be more than equal to cooking anything you could buy in the main market or at one of the Bon Marche supermarkets in town. However, the range and quality of the food on offer from the Paradise Cove restaurant was such that it was a pleasure to dine in the Nakamal and beach fale most nights. We are still pining for the fresh lime juice and Beef nems!
At the time of booking, we were a little worried about the distance from town and the lack of TVs. It turned out that the bus rides back through the villages were one of the most memorable features of the stay and our 13 yr old son didn't even notice the absence of TV after a day's snorkelling, kayaking, and playing games in the Nakamal.
Belinda, Andrew, Piera and the charming staff could not have been more welcoming or helpful. They were able to advise on and book local transport, transfers and excursions; they even arranged a doctor's appointment and drove one of us in to town to check out a possible ear injury (too much over-enthusiastic deep diving!). Well above the call of duty - but that's the kind of thing you'd expect from Paradise Cove.

Room Tip: Fale numbers increase moving back from the beach - Units 9/10 nearest road...Units 1/2 nearest the N...
