We recently stayed at this place, and I can only use one word to describe this place and it would "WOW".

This was Resort AMAZING. It has everything, if you really didn't want to go anywhere you would not have to, it has a private beach, tennis court, pool and a restaurant which serves the most beautiful food.

The rooms are good, the bed was a little hard but other than that they were really good.

I would stay here again and would recommend other people to stay here.

After a fair amount of rain had taken its toll on the road surface getting to the beach club we finally arrived at Benjor and first thoughts were of how beautiful the grounds were. This is clearly a result of the dedication of all staff and management concerned and the new managers must be making a difference as none of the issues previously raised regarding previous managers on Trip Advisor were evident. On that note, the staff here are fantastic, friendly and happy to assist in every way possible. We stayed in Villa 4 which was clean and large with views across the ocean and had a nice outdoor area which would be a lovely spot to sit and relax on a sunny day, something we sadly did not see much of. The water was a little temperamental but this seems to be an island thing as the water is very calcified and just something you live with when showering. The bed would be my only criticism which was rock hard and kept me awake on the second night after it did my back in. If you have a completely flexible back then this would not bother you. We ate in the restaurant both breakfast and dinner and found the food to be exceptional. The restaurant and reception area is beautifully presented and a nice place take in the atmosphere, very relaxing. Overall I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Benjor Beach Club to anybody looking for a place to find some peace and quiet set amongst beautifully kept grounds with such a picturesque background. Also a short drive to local coffee grower, Tanna Coffee and Mele Cascades which is a must see. Keep up the good work.

Room Tip: Eat in the restaurant is a must.

what a wonderful relaxing place to spend a holiday. This was our first overseas trip and prior to our arrival, Sally was happy to answer all questions I had regarding facilities etc. Sally greeted us with such warmth, and the staff brought us the most devine fruit drinks. There was no problem with any requests or concerns. The staff were warm and friendly and happy to chat. The meals were very good, and staff were attentive. We found that in most places on Efate` The kayak girls were so much fun and to be honest a crack up, and the snorkelling was unbelievable. We discovered very quickly that if you want to slow down relax, laugh and enjoy yourself, then this is the place to do it.

I think this would be a great place for families. Being about 15 minutes out of town meant it was quiet. But I will say, that you have to get used to the dirt road leading to the resorts and other homes there. There had been a lot of rain the week prior to our visit, and the road was very bumpy. Most of the bus drivers took it steady, and you learnt to be patient. I can see that this might be a pain to others, but we just enjoyed the gorgeous ocean views. Cost from Benjor to say Goodies/ Anchor Inn in Port Vila was around 1200vt each way for the three of us.

Fred the Duty Manager was fantastic, and arranged transport, our girls trip to the Lotus Day Spa (as recommended by Sally) and I wish I could remember all the girls names who were there as it was a real family feel. The room was serviced every other day during our stay. On that note, the rooms were clean, the beds comfy. Hot water was a little hit and miss, but given the humidity, a cool shower was often required. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and waterfall was just bliss.

We found the costs of our food and drinks to be quite reasonable. We swapped between the buffet continental breakfast and a cooked breakfast simply because of how hungry or what we were doing that day. Breakfast starts at 8 so if you have an early start, you might want to have something organised.

I would recommend that if you can, arrange prior to your arrival at Benjor to pop into the supermarket to grab some goodies. Tea coffee sugar satchets and milk was provided, but if you want to self cater a bit, it saves that drive to town if you want to get stuck into the activities the next day.

It was nice and close to the Cascade Falls, Hideaway Island and other attractions, so while a little out of town, its close to attractions you'll probably want to see anyway.

All in all, we had a great time, Couldn't find any real negatives. Would definitely consider returning.

Just got home from 6 nights at Benjor. It was our first time to Port Vila and we weren't sure as whether to stay in town or a bit further out. We were happy with our decision. Benjor is about 30 mins by local bus (due to the bumpy road it takes longer than usual) to get to Port Vila town centre. For us, this was a good decision. We wanted to relax, unwind and didn't mind the bus ride into town when we needed to go. Other than that, relaxing at the resort was perfect. It was quiet, peaceful and you really felt you were on an island. For people who want a lot of variety for the restaurants etc - you would either have to eat out a lot or stay somewhere else, however for us it was perfect. Just remember the road to the resort (and back to town / the airport) has a lot of potholes - so it can be a bit slow and very bumpy. You get used to it, and in the end we didn't even think about it, but just don't get put off by it.

The resort itself is on a huge property - plenty of space and you don't really notice other guests (unlike the bigger hotels) - The beach is a coral beach so don't forget your reef shoes (or borrow some), and you can kayak out as well. The resort also has a pool and a volleyball court. We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa which was plenty of room as there were only two of us. If there were 4 people in the room - we may have needed extra seating or another couch, as the couch was a 2 seater in the living room. Our room had 2 bedrooms, living area, bathroom and a kitchenette. If you plan on cooking, you may want to buy a utensil or two, as they provide cutlery and a pan, but no cooking utensils. There is however a toaster and a kettle, which came in very handy for a quick and cheap breakfast. You can buy groceries from Au Bon Marche - the downtown one next to the market is good. They had a tv and dvd player which was great, however the tv does not have a reception antenna attached - so bring some dvds. The hotel does have a small dvd library where you can hire them, however I would say just bring some from home or buy dvds in town. The restaurant at the hotel was AMAZING. We loved the food!! We had breakfast there twice, lunch once and dinner every night. We saved money on breakfast by buying groceries in town and making our own, and we often ate in town as we were there during the day, however the dinner we had at the hotel each night was very impressive. The prices are similar to Australian prices, however the food is top quality. For dinner, you will expect to pay around AUD$6-10 for an entree, $20-$35 for a main and $10 for dessert. This is not taking into account specials they may have on the board each night. Breakfast - we ordered off the menu and got a hot breakfast for between $7 - $12 each , and lunch is around $12 - $15 each. Plus drinks etc. Each meal we had was awesome and huge compliments to the Chef's.

Lastly the staff - they made it even better. Each staff member that helped us with breakfast / lunch / dinner as well as helping us get into town and back, and at the front desk - all of them were so helpful, friendly and nothing was a trouble. We definitely would go back to Benjor, we would definitely recommend Benjor and hopefully will be going back soon!!

I booked a trip for my daughter who was taking a week vacation in Vanuatu prior to leaving from a 7 month stay in Sydney, AU and reserved a 1 BR Villa at the Benjor Beach Club for her. I'll let my daughter follow-up on her experiences, however I would like to commend the Manager, Sally, for her help and assistance.

As my daughter was traveling and staying as a single we did have some questions as to safety and the Benjor Beach Club answered that much to our satisfaction and relief and also booked a villa near to the main buildings. Assistance with info and catching public transportation was given to our daughter so she could take part in a number of activities.

We also looked for a facility to provide a small gift for our daughter and when unable to locate a business to do up a gift basket, asked the manager if she could help us. Sally & the Benjor Beach Club put together a wonderful gift 'basket' (locally made bag with locally sourced items and a bottle of New Zealand wine) for under the budgeted price and had that placed in our daughter's villa - from us. We were thrilled with this level of service and accommodation and have to give much thanks and appreciation to the Manager (Sally) for her quick replies via email, assistance, help and consideration.

We managed to book the villa for an excellent price and were very happy with the package deal (flight via Virgin Air from Sydney) and the accommodation provided.

So, many kudos to the Benjor Beach Club. We're looking forward to visiting one day and our daughter plans to return as well.

Four of us recently stayed here and really loved it. The rooms were huge and really charming - not flash but comfortable with everything we needed. The grounds are really beautiful and all of us had a great view even staying in different rooms around the resort. The staff are great - nothing was too much trouble and we really enjoyed the happy hour - nver drunk so many cocktails in my life. Restaurant was way better than we expected for a 3 star resort - and much better than some flashier ones in town. This is the place to be if you want to chill out in pretty surroundings with good service and on a budget. We would come back with another group for sure.

Room Tip: One of our friends had the two bedroom selfcontained rooms - they were really nice and had a kitchen...

We usually stay at Hideaway but decided on a change because of the recent cyclone damage. We had a great stay-friendly, helpful staff with close proximity to the waterfalls and the Summit. Kayaks, snorkle gear and a pool on hand with lovely grounds. The food here has to be some of the best in Vanuatu-especially the dinner, plus the wine selection is better than most with prices to match. Great set up for families or people on more of a budget but who love quality.

Room Tip: One or two bedroom bungalows as well as "Chiefs" bungalow for groups. Fridges, etc mean th...
