We travelled as a family with young children... We were greeted by a very friendly smile at the airport "Glen" he looked after from the moment we stepped on the bus. The resort was beautiful on the freshwater lagoon, the gardens and facilites were the very best. We did not need for anything it was all just there for us. The staff were spot on with service and "Kevin" the kiddy magician, had the little ones laughing and so happy they did want to leave.....
"Abi the resort manager look after us for a very special surprize...!!!
We were delighted and are truly grateful for her kindness, just taking the time to look after us.
From the experience we have to tell you to go to Lagoon Beach Resort for your "Best Surprise In Vanuatu"

Our recent trip to Vanuatu ended in what could have been a very depressing experience. Booked on a Virgin flight out of Port Vila, after waiting in the airport all arvo only to be told flight cancelled, we were left with no Vatu (local money), no charge on our mobile and the prospect of having to find emergency accommodation in the dark and pouring rain. On impulse I went up to a friendly looking Ni-Van man and explained our situation and asked if he could recommend somewhere where we could find accommodation. He introduced himself as George and took us personally to his Lagoon Beach Resort. Within half an hour he had offered us his mobile to call Australia to let our family know we weren't arriving, had delivered us to a beautiful apartment, allowed us to use the computer so we could recharge our phone and generally made us feel so welcome. The next day, after a late check out, we went off to the airport again only to have the same experience - but there was George again to pick us up and take us back to our apartment which had been kept for us "just in case". The generosity of George and the staff at the resort (thanks especially to Felix in the office and Annie in the Beach Bar) was just astonishing and what could have been a ghastly experience (we ended up having to stay for 3 more nights before we could get a flight out) turned into a good time.
This resort is set in lovely grounds and our apartment faced onto a tidal lagoon which was the most unbelievable green colour - ab stunning. The resort would suit anyone especially families - our apartment was spacious, totally self contained with superior kitchen and laundry facilities. There was a large veranda downstairs with a large table and chairs for outdoor dining, and a smaller veranda upstairs with table and chairs, both with a view to die for. The grounds are filled with enormous trees, play equipment for younger children as well as beach volleyball area, pool table and table tennis table - and of course a beautiful pool. The lagoon was also interesting as well as beautiful with hermit crabs and starfish at the water's edge.
Travellers beware flying Virgin airlines - they don't have the navigation equipment necessary to land in cloudy weather conditions ! We ended up cutting our losses and rebooking through Air Vanuatu/Qantas. After a 2pm checkout we farewelled George and the staff for the last time. Their generosity, friendliness and wonderful hospitality will not be forgotten. Thank you George, Felix, Annie and other staff.
Claire and Barry

Room Tip: We stayed in an apartment facing the lagoon and the views were spectacular.

We stayed at Lagoon Beach Apartments for 7 days at the end of August and have wonderful memories from this place. Our key needs were: good self contained facilities, activities for our young children and ease of getting into the market. Lagoon Beach met all our requirements and more. The staff are very welcoming...particularly Felix, Kevin and Annie who were favourites with the kids. The apartments are solid, clean, well appointed, quiet and private. We have two children aged 4yrs and 6yrs, boy and girl and they couldn't have been happier. The playground is great for all ages, the lagoon and beach are nice and safe and the pool was a real winner. Probably helped that both kids can swim. Note there isn't a fence around the pool and it has a short, shallow end, otherwise deep. We used the kayaks every day and fished for crabs off the wee jetty.

It was very easy to get into Port Vila...for the 4 of us on the bus it cost 400vatu one way and takes about 10mins. The staff in the office are excellent at providing information about activities and will make all the bookings for you.

All and all we had such a positive experience here. Highly recommended!

We returned to Lagoon Beach resort for the second time in 2 years. We stayed in June/July again, for 11 nights. We had a wonderful time and can't fault the resort - a great family excape.

I travelled with husband and 3 boys 8-12 years and the the boys just loved it. Thanks Kevin, Felix and the pool table, tale tennis, volleyball, the Kids organised acitivities for some adult time. LLR has great facilities with both a pool and the lagoon with the kayaks etc. I visited some of the big resorts for the day and were very pleased to get back to LLR at the end of the day of the peace, space and relaxation of the area.

We will be back!!!

Room Tip: all rooms have view of the Lagoon and resort.

Being an "anti-resort" person, I was quite nervous about spending 10 days at Lagoon Beach Resort as it was my family's first time in a resort. I was also concerned if my 15 year-old and 17 year-old would like it as I thought the place might be filled with younger children. Anybody with teenagers knows that if their not happy then a miserable time is had by all. Needless to say I need not have worried. My boys loved it - the kayaking, the billiards, the table tennis but most of all the volleyball. They both adored Kevin, Felix and Oliver. There was a good mix of teenagers and younger kids with everyone getting together including staff and the local kids for the 4pm game of volleyball. I loved our apartment - plenty of room to escape from each other but a nice large dining table inside and out for when we wanted to be together. The place was spotless - not even a spiderweb outside. The full-sized kitchen was great. Bed was comfortable. Plenty of drawers in both bedrooms. We were also very grateful for the cafe which provided good value meals but nothing fancy. However there's plenty of great (and expensive!) restaurants in Port Vila. We also utilized the free passes to Erakor Resort. It has a lovely sheltered beach even on very windy days where swimming elsewhere would be unpleasant. Thanks to all the staff at Lagoon Beach Resort for making our stay such a happy one.

Great resort - only 20 units, so not teeming with people. Lovely clean and spacious apartments with separate bedrooms upstairs, lounge and patio downstairs. Self catering, so can fix for yourself rather than always dining out. With 2 families holidaying together and 4 teenagers, it was perfect for us - pool as well as the lagoon to swim in, kayaks, flippers, 4pm volleyball and you're able to borrow their bbq and ask the kitchen to supply the bbq meat/salad pack. There's a washing machine and drier supplied, as well as room service. The staff were lovely and we loved our week there. Handy to Port Villa and the bus, it was the perfect spot for us. The villas looking over the lagoon looked lovely too. Thanks Kevin and Felix for looking after us so well!

We have just returned from a week here. With two teenage boy's we thought a lot about where to stay. This was perfect with many facilities for all ages. The apartments were well equipped enabling the opportunity to cook or at least prepare picnic 's etc. The apartments are also very spacious. We have been to Vanuatu three times and will not look past Lagoon Beach next time.
The Boys had a ball and the interaction with the staff was excellent. The 4pm volley ball games became a cannot miss... The bus at the gate made getting around a breeze. We will be back.. This Is a place for all age families. The villas for couples also looked devine. Thanks Kevin, Abbie and Felix
