My husband and stayed at the Sebel from the 16th Nov to the 30th Nov. We discovered whilst there that it was being taken over by another hotel group on the 1st Dec.
I choose to stay there based on the positive reviews on Trip Advisor.
I would rate this hotel at no more than 3 star. The staff were friendly, though some of the reception staff were less than helpful, especially when my husband needed to see a Doctor. Infact the only helpful person on reception was Frazer.
The room was not clean and was not seviced properly each day. Since arriving home I have discovered that we left a toilet bag in the bathroom. Have contacted them twice, as yet still no reply.
I am thinking that due to the change of Managment no one gave a "RATS"' prior to take over.
We would not stay here or any Mirvac hotels again

Lovely hotel with gorgeous views - we were on the 5th floor facing Iririki, You also have access to the complimentary use of Iririki Isl resort and spa's facilities which is worthwhile, it's only a 2 min free ferry ride away (ferry operates 24 hrs) The staff at Sebel are very friendly and warm particularly, Delphine and Meredith.
Great location centrally, we were very happy with our choice.
The breakfast was a little disappointing it was a continental brekkie, some fruits, cereals and ham and cheese - ok but, not anything to rave about.

Stayed for one night on the way home from a great holiday in the outer islands of Vanuatu. It is a very new hotel and offers great facilities such as the pool, casino, restaurant, etc. My room looked out over the entire harbour and had a great sunset!

We stayed at the Sebel for 1 night prior to departing Port Vila. Check in was excellent, and the welcome drink cold and refreshing. Breakfast was included in our room price and I enquired if anything was available to have early in the morning (we had a 5.15am checkout). The receptionist told me that would be ok and to contact reception later to organise it. We wandered around Vila then came back to the room. My husband went to open the door and the locking mechanism fell out. Maintenance quickly responded to our request to have it fixed. The shower stall was quite mouldy, and the towels very worn, but apart from that everything was fine. I would certainly request a higher floor as we were on the first floor. The Casino was good, unfortunately the Hemisphere Bar was closed as it was a Sunday. Our breakfast turned up 15 minutes late than the requested 4.45a.m., but it had the lot, croissants, pastries, cereal, jam, bread, coffee and fruit. Staff were always helpful. The Sebel would be a good base to explore Vila from.

Stayed at The SEBEL for 7 nights ( 5th floor ) great views over the sea/pool.
Taxi ride in from the airport about 10 minutes and 1500 VAT..... taxi driver ripped us a bit as on 300 VAT to get back on the bus ( which is actually a mini van ). Check in fine and found room spacious and clean.

Hotel has a small gym which we used each morning..... some equipment needs a little repair but enough for us. I notified the hotel of repairs required.

Free boat rides over to Irikiki Island resort, you just push the button at the wharf and it comes around every 5 minutes approx.......easy and no problems.

Ate one meal at the Irikiki Resort and not impressed. Most meals eaten at a new place just over the road from the entrance to The SEBEL....just opened for a few weeks and found owner ( Australian ) working hard to get some business. Restaurant called the " The Rock "

Swimming pool at The SEBEL good and able to do lengths.

Shopping and market only a few minutes walk away.

No road noise and beds very good.
