Hotel is in the heart of city. A very good Indian reatra is just 50 meters. Pioneer pub is next to hotel. Although staff is nice but considering US$ 105 per night is a bit expensive considering rooms & extremely limited breakfast menu.

Room Tip: Check with the staff about a ceiling fan of table fan as AC is too small for rooms. Takes a lot of t...

This hotel is considered a good hotel according to the general standard of the country. It is clean and convenient to restaurants and cafes. However, try to avoid Chok Dee Dim Sum close by to the hotel. The dim sums were bad and mushy as if they were frozen and microwaved.

During my stay, there was construction going on. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience because of the hotel staff and a very sweet door man. Inexpensive massage service located in the hotel. Excellent location.

the hotel had decent rooms to offer. considering the limited options in Yangon for business travelers this was one of the better ones in the city. usually difficult to find hotels in this city as very few good ones available. the location is excellent with multiple restaurants and clubs around. great option for Indian food right next to the hotel.

Hotel Yangon International is situated in walking distance of the Shwedagon pagoda. The standard of the hotel is about 2-3 star. The price of a standard room is USD 105.- and includes breakfast. The nearby Summit Hotel with an international standard is twice the price.

The hotel has recently been taken over by a Japanese management which is upgrading the hotel. Some rooms are newly renovated. The staff is polite, but rather incompetent when it comes to complaints about the non-availability of the internet service.

The rooms are large and clean, sober looking without much decoration. The standard room is fitted with a Queen size bed of about 140 cms, an incorporated writing desk, a large LCD TV, a mini bar and a safe. About a dozen english TV channels are available. The linnens are changed daily. The bathroom is big but the sanitary installations are of rather low quality. Internet was often not accessible. The additional comfort of a Deluxe rooms ist that there are two large sofa chairs and a King size bed of 180 cms width. .

The hotel has a generator which is essential as there is frequent power outage.

Breakfast is served on the 3rd floor. Various hot Asian food items are available. Western food is limited to fried eggs, toast bread, jam and fruit pudding. Cereals or danish are not available.

Next to the hotel are various restaurants. I can recommend Coriander leave which offers upscale Indian cuisine or “My Garden” which is on the opposite side of the road with good local food. The food of Singapore kitchen was less convincing. There is a “Canyon Coffee” a kind of local Starbucks, a pub „Sports Bar“, a Karaoke, a Japanese Restaurant and a Spa for foot massage all in the compound.

There is no swimming pool. The roof terrace is not used, but in the evening there is nice view on the illuminated Shwedagon pagoda.

Very clean room, all new fixtures, excellent wifi, It's an old building no doubt about that, the room was good, I was on the backside of the hotel, very quite. There's many restaurants in directly in front of the hotel. If you don't need a 5 star hotel, this is a good choice.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back of the hotel are very quiet.

Our agent booked the hotel room for us as most of the middle price hotel has increase in price and fully booked.

I reserved the so called president room@ USD80/ night. The room was big with a living hall. But the toilet is totally unusable .
When we came back from our meeting , I turn on the water and it was tea colour.
The lighting in the room dim and yucky.

Called the reception and he came and purge the water and claimed that it is ok and acceptable.

I request for another room, and he refuse to offer.
Another point, there was a separate glass door before my door, and the lock was on the outer side???
The only thing good about the hotel is Wifi is strong.
