Extremely handy for the airport-about five minutes away.

A perfectly good hotel, with friendly service and good well appointed rooms. There are new and old blocks--I stayed in the new, so cannot comment on the old block. Restaurant served very good and tasty local food and cold beer. Internet worked well.
Would definitely choose this hotel again if over-nighting at the airport

We stayed here twice within a week both overnighters as we had early flights to catch. I booked the cheapest rooms & was happy with what we got. The shuttle was reliable, fast internet & quick room service. Smoking is allowed on the balcony. The breakfast box for early departures included a cheese sandwich, a piece of cake, a madarin & a can of coffee drink. We stayed on the first floor of the main old building with no elevators & the two small female porters carried our suitcases up & down the stairs for us. There are newer & more comfortable rooms available but we just wanted a place to sleep. It's a 30 minutes drive to downtown Yangon which cost us 7000 kyats during off peak & 10000 kyats during peak.

I stayed at Myanmar Life Hotel not out of choice but as a complimentary accommodation given by an airline that had shifted its flight schedules which forced me to overnight in Yangon.
Based on the tripadvisor reviews I wouldn't have chosen this hotel if it was up to me. I was a bit concerned what the room, property and service would be like. However, I have come to discover that there are quite a few high maintenance people leaving reviews on trip advisor.
First of all the property is very near the airport and convenient for those early pre-dawn depatures. Well maintained grounds...i did not use the pool but it seemed nice and people appeared to be enjoying it.
The reception staff were friendly and competent.
The room was totally clean and provided all the amenities I need. Wifi ok.
Bathroom needs a little updating but completely fine and clean.
They provided a free shuttle to and from the airport. Everything on time and comfortable for me to make my flights easily.
I had dinner in the restaurant since not any choice otherwise nearby. It was standard Myanmar fare...definitely nothing special. I left too early in the morning to try their provided breakfast.
Bottom line is that if you need accommodation close to the airport this hotel is an excellent option and i encourage you to use discretion ("with a grain of salt" is the saying) when reading the reviews from people complaining about this hotel to such a degree to scare you away.

We had a day room at the advice of our tour guide (i.e. Khiri travel). We had come from the Strand. I blame myself for not checking way in advance for the quality. Filthy bathroom, dark dirty halls, carpets dirty, bed bugs we hope not but we did look. I would not eat here nor use the pool. Really someone said think travelodge but I would recommend you think "down by the river and under the bridge". However, I do not want to give under the bridge a bad name.

Very clean and tidy hotel rooms. Quite distant from city center, but try close to the airport. Swimming pool is OK, although you have to cross the street to get in. The hotel restaurant is a bit basic, but has reliable food. Summarised; perfect place to chill for a night, after having been overwhelmed by Myanmar inland or Yangon chaotic life.

After arriving in Yangon at 11am and our onward flight at 1.50am the next morning we booked a "day use" room at Myanmar Life.

Room was clean and had a reasonable bathroom, bed was a little uncomfortable but didn't stop us getting a couple of hours sleep. Think of a basic Travelodge standard.

The hotel is about 3 minutes from the airport and the shuttle bus we asked for was there exactly on time.

Wouldn't consider using for a longer stay but glad we did book as the few hours sleep and rest was a real help.
