I stayed in this hotel for a month and found it OK. Very large room, although the carpet was burned in many places, and the drapes are soooo dusty. I WISH they would clean with cleaning products so it feels as though things are actually sanitised...
The breakfast is very similar every morning. With all the beautiful fruit in the stalls near the hotel, I did think they could have varied at least the type of fruit offered. They had the breakfast food in lovely silver tureens, but they didn't keep it hot. Don't eat there for dinner - there are other fantastic restaurants like Sabai Sabai or Ashoka a short taxi ride away.
There is a swimming pool but you can't swim in it! It's green... A short walk around the corner is Kandawgyi park where you can walk around the lake for an hour - cost 2,000 kyat but it is worth it.
This hotel is good for a single traveller for a couple of nights, but for a few weeks I am sure you could do better. If you are travelling in a group and don't mind sharing you can actually rent an apartment at Golden Hill Towers for less money than you pay for single rooms at Hotel K Paradise.More
