The food was good enough for us to go back again after having one meal there. The second time we were back the restaurant was actually closed, but the owner re-opened up and whipped up some delicious plates of fried rice for us because it was getting late. They really showed us the kindness and warmth of the Burmese people.

The local restaurant is no longer the small cramped place described in the Lonely Planet. It's now cleaner looking and bright due to recent renovations. Great noodles and shakes! My favorite are the salad noodles and tofu salad. It sorta resembles some aspect of Chinese cusine in Sichuan but without the "mala" spice. Very good and cheap. The Burmese waiter was a delight and the owner chatted with us. She was curious to know why so many foreigners frequented her shop and I told her about Lonely Planet. She didn't know! Noodles are around a dollar twenty a bowl.

This place was recommended in Lonely Planet and was well worth it! We had the Shan sticky salad noodles and they were exceptional - best noodles I had in all of Myanmar. We also took the fried tofu with lunch and that was great.

a bit hard to find and unassuming. Frequented by locals and tourists alike. Excellent, cheap (for a tourist budget) , clean and quick.
Friendly staff and the owner will help you through the list of gorgeous noodle dishes.
