A short distance from Swedagon Pagoda[5' cab ride], this culinary classic is a must for tasting Myanmar cuisine[we're not talking fries her, ok ;) ..... You'll have to choose from a food display what you'd like to eat. Don't worry if you're a newbie, staff is very friendly and will guide you. And they serve beer as well :)

Great Asian food at great prices. The Thai som tum (green papaya salad) was the best I've had anywhere. It's usually full and perhaps not the most relaxing for an evening meal, but two sides of the restaurant are open and there is a constant cool breeze.
Try the 'fried dumpling': a pancake made from tortellini-like dumplings (with a vegetable filling) served with a great dipping sauce.

I love this place. It's friendly and welcoming, with great noodles and good juices....all for a bargain price. A time honored Yangon winner!

We're so lucky this place is just down the street... really tasty noodles (my favorite is the sticky noodle salad), and great potstickers. The service is always super friendly, and it's a great place to sit and watch Yangon life happen around you. And you can't beat the price.

We were taken tothis retaurant on our last night in Yangon. I initially was not keen. From the outside it looked like a locals restaurant and I wasn't sure what we would be served. No one seemed to speak English but luckily our friends did all the ordering. We were served an amazing array of dishes all tasting quite different. Service was very quick.
Located is an upmarket area of Yangon and in a great location for many hotels in this area.
Would recommend you go there however might help to take someone with you who speaks the local langauge.
Total bill came to US$15 which included some beer and plenty of food for 4 people.
