Great Location, right in the middle of Yangon Downtime. Walking distance access to food and local streets full with small stalls selling all kind of things e.g. electrical, clothes, grocery, food, beer, coffee, hardware etc. , Aung San Market, Parkson etc.

Clean, it's clean except some reasonable dust on the floor - but it's extremely clean in Myanmar's standards.

Comfortable, the environment and feeling is good. Bathroom is clean and spacious.

Location
Perfect location for tourists to be in city centre area of Yangon. The hotel is located on a side street behind Shangri La hotel, there is plenty of shops, food outlets and Spa's close by. The Scott Market is a 3 minute walk away. The main train station is also not far and it takes about 45 minutes by taxi to airport in traffic.
Room
Room was disappointing. Whilst it try's the white boutique look, it is rather small and dis functional. The bed though was very comfortable with the TV at angle from the ceiling requiring you to look up all the time- satellite channels include some English options. There is a table in the corner with a stool, it is not functional to work on a computer as the stool is more for make up etc.. But there is no mirror other than in the tiny bathroom or rather pointlessly behind the bed. There is also a safe - again not sufficient as detached & one can just pick it up and walk off with it. There is a fridge - no mini bar offered but two free bottled waters are provided. A kettle exists but only coffee sachets - no tea. The bed has no bed side tables and lighting is adequate but no nice dimmer options. The main issue I found is plugs- very poorly designed especially for large plugs. The reason is a switch is placed on the plug but big UK plugs cover this switch making it not fit in properly. Meaning it does not work because the plug covers the power switch- in about 150 hotels never seen such a bad plug design.
The bathroom is very small, and the shower is just above the toilet area and falls to the same floor. The water was ok but design is poor- for instance toilet paper gets soaked easily. There is just fixed dispensers for shampoo and shower gel & toothbrushes are offered. For this price small bottles could be provided.
Overall for the price & comparing to other hotel I stayed at in Yangon (hotel grand united) this was disappointing and as said dysfunctional.
Facilities
There is a restaurant on the ground floor in which looks more cafeteria than restaurant and only used for dinner - food comes in by delivery and the food quality was very good.
Staff
This is the best thing about this hotel, staff are friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was smooth. Door staff acknowledge you and open the door as well as housekeeping which are seen around the hotel on the staircases.
Overall I found this hotel over priced & a room lacking functionality. It has the Bangkok suvhumvit rd influence in which try's to be boutique but has many faults with the design of the functionality of the room
I stayed two nights previous at grand United Chinatown and thought this hotel was a much better option in all areas except clover is better location for Scott Market. I would not stay here again.

Dear docdot,

The sincerity of your commentary is well received and created an alert to us of a few things that were not of the standard of our general operation.

The demand for our hotel rooms is quite high however there remains always the possibility when notified to have a guest pleasureably relocated. We certainly do not want a guest to leave with an unsatisfactory feeling of us.

More fitting to our reputation is your acknowledgment that the food quality was very good and with extreme pride to us saying that the staff was friendly and helpful with special notice to the doorman and our housekeeping personnel.

As you may understand, our cost of operation is contingent upon location which was an asset to you expressing the proximity to the Train Station, Scott Market and the Airport etc.

We would love to have the opportunity to surprise you on your next visit.

With kindest regards,
CloverHotels

My single room in Culver City hotel was extremely clean; the bed comfortable and shower was good, the hotel is in central Yangon so it was easy for me to walk and sight see. I took a walk to Bogyoke Aung San Market, formally called Scott`s market, the vendors occupy the sidewalks along the roads and the Market is a major bazaar located in downtown Yangon, 5 mins from the hotel. Sule pagoda is about 5-10 mins walk from the hotel. I ate at at Ingyin restaurant which was more like a café, the food was tasty ,very reasonable, it was just 5 mins walk from the Culver centre hotel.
I had a nice breakfast at the hotel and the staff made me nice vegetable stir fry and omelet which was nice. The staff were excellent and let me check in early so I said good bye to all of them. I was pleased with my choice of this hotel as it was very central.

Location: The hotel is in downtown Yangon. Downtown Yangon consists of wider, busier main roads horizontally (and full of vendors), and narrower single-way streets longitudinally marked with numbers like 32nd street. Clover City Plus Hotel is located at the same street. You can walk to Bogyoke Aung San Market or Sule Pagoda from hotel for about 10 minutes. There are restaurants on the main road particularly Anawratha Road.

Room: My room was tidy and clean. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner worked well. (Important in such a hot weather!) Wifi available in the room and the signal was ok. Don't expect fast connection. Toilet was ok but don't flush toilet paper into the bowl.

Price: 60+ USD per night (including tax and service charge) without breakfast in May from Agoda. (Originally stated >70 USD.) It seems to be acceptable since accommodation in Yangon is known to be much more expensive than in other SE Asian countries.

Staff: Friendly. I met one staff who speaks English very well during the day. Not so well for the night shift staff. The staff helped me to call taxi. It cost 3000 kyat to Shwedagon Pagoda and 8000 kyat to the airport.

If you are a tourist in Yangon and want to find a balance between price, location, quality and access to facilities this is a good hotel to stay. Hotel is tucked off in thin lanes of city center but interiors are well maintained that you will forget the outside lane completely. Location is in walking distance to many important tourist attractions and taxis are available round the clock. Staff was very helpful in everything. Yangon is expensive for hotel stay this place provides you best possible bet at optimum cost right next to Shangrila's location.

Good overall. Yes, it’s a bit expensive for South East Asian standards, but the distorted supply & demand balance for hotel accommodation in Yangon has pushed prices up across the board. The hotel was well located, with easy access to some of the main hotspots, markets temples etc. Room was basic and a bit bare (wifi worked which is always a plus in Yangon). The shower was ok, although I (6ft1) had to do a bit of a limbo to get under it! Breakfast buffet was not great so I suggest you keep you appetite for some of the other great food that Myanmar has to offer… Staff was super friendly, helpful and overall just happy yo share their knowledge of the city!
