Although not central location, a $2.00 cab fare will get you anywhere you want to go. Facilities clean and modern. Front desk friendly and helpful. Will stay there again on my return to Yangon. The only negative, no pool.

Room Tip: Skip the zoo, disgusting care of animals and not modernized since 1906

This was our first visit to Yangon. We are in a group of 5 first-time travellers to Yangon. After researching on many hotels in Yangon, we ended up choosing Green Hill Hotel due to its location near the downtown area. We was not disappointed with the hotel at all. The service was excellent. The staffs were very helpful with directions, especially the concierges. The choice of breakfast is quite limited, but considered satisfactory by local standards. It is recommended to come down early for breakfast in order to avoid the crowd. it is truly a business hotel, where there is no swimming pool nor gym.
For first-time visitors to Yangon, I would recommend hiring a taxi or car for half or whole day as taxis are non-metered and you may be overcharged since you would have to bargain. Prior to our trip, we did lots of researches on exchanging money. Most people were saying that U.S. dollar bills must be new and cannot be folded, and that U.S. dollar should be exchanged only at the airport. Well, the fact is that money can be exchanged at either the Yangon airport (before customs or after customs) or at Scott Market. Surprisingly, the money exchange booth after exiting customs gave slightly better exchange rate (i.e. 958 Kyat vs. 960 Kyat per 1 USD) than before exiting customs. The other fact to add is that U.S. dollar bills can be folded, but it should be partially new and without any marking or writing on it. EUR, GBP, HKD, SGD, and THB can also be exchanged to Kyat, and not just USD.
There are many nearby restaurants within a 5-10 minutes taxi journey from the hotel. Seafood price in Myanmar is quite cheap when compared with the seafood price in Thailand.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to any business or first-time visitors to Yangon due to its close proximity to downtown. Taxis are quite abundant in Yangon, but you just need to bargain on the price. It would be wiser to ask the concierge how much the taxi fare should be.

Room Tip: Rooms on the same side as the elevator would be facing the Shewedagon Pagoda, while the opposite sid...

A pretty good hotel by my standards. Visited Yangon on business, and was put up here by my company. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were very friendly. There quite a few restaurants around, and Kandawgyi Lake was pretty nearby as well.

WiFi in the room can be a little slow, but connectivity was quite consistent. Room was quite spacious, and it even has a view of the Shwedagon Pagoda (albeit a faraway view).

The hotel has no other amenities such as swimming pool or gym, so I would not recommend it for family holidays. However, it's perfectly acceptable for business trips.

Room Tip: Try to get rooms with the Pagoda view.

I stayed for a week in the Hotel, good location as you can walk around the large park and small restaurants nearby. Staff are eager to help, internet connectivity is good, food is not so great (again, I am biased as I limit myself to vegetarian options). The chef went out of the way on few days to get me some veg curries, etc.

I would recommend this Hotel, if you are on business but not with family/pleasure - it has no pool or other amenities to keep the family occupied. Ask for soft pillows as the standard ones are so hard that one morning I had stay-in to ward off neck-pain!

And, you can only pay in USD - using the credit card attracts additional charges and do not exchange money in the Hotel (Airport is the best option) as the rates offered are too low. More specifically, travel with crispy new notes as they would not accept any notes with creasing, fold, etc.

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor rooms, facing the Pagoda which is a good sight in the night.

It is a nice hotel in Yangon, for me it is even better than Sedona. The location is not too far from the central but very quite and green environment as its name. I have business in Myanmar and travel quite often there. It would be great if I can have a special rate for often stay.
Overall, I think all hotels in Myanmar are a bit over charge.

We stayed here as part of a Riviera Travel escorted tour of Burma. The room was well furnished and very clean. We ate at the restuarant which had a good mix of different food at a reasonable cost.. We heard no noise from the corridor. As far as we could see there is not much around the hotel in walking distance. The breakfast was OK. The rooms on the front of the hotel have a view of Shwedagon Pagoda lit up at night. free Wifi in our room

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor at the front for the view
