Generous portions, inexpensive prices, friendly service and good Italian dishes. Some dishes clearly have a bit of an Asian influence to them, but they're still solid choices. Pizza served is medium crust with a hefty dose of very nice cheese. Extensive menu should have something for everyone, particularly good seafood dishes. Only criticism from me is that many dishes could use a heavier hand when it comes to seasoning. Spicy Pork Sausage starter for instance is basically just sausage - no discernable heat.
Ambiance is "cafe casual". Perhaps too basic for a first date, but a definite go-to place when you want a nice, tasty Italian meal without having to pay the posh prices of some of many of the more upscale Italian/continental restaurants around town.
Nine of us gorged ourselves - even left a few dishes partly uneaten, with 2 bottles of wine and a few other drinks for just over 100K Kyat (a bit over USD100), including service.
NOTE - this review if for the "original" Cafe Napoli on Shwegondaing Rd. There is a new restaurant (believe same ownership) of the same/similar name recently opened about a mile away on Inya Myaing Road. Make sure your driver takes you to the right restaurant (though the other one looks quite nice too - topic for future review)!
