At around $100 a night it falls within the normal price ranges for Yangon but is a lot more than you would pay for better accommodation in many other Asian countries. Reasonable size room, just refurbished, but basic amenities. (why do all hotels in Myanmar have open showers that wet the complete bathroom?)
The hotel is hemmed in all around and it is best to get a room at the back and as high as possible as there is a view over the city. Poor breakfast, but as we learned, standard for Myanmar. Only one lift and there are stairs to that, so not suitable for disabled. One lift also means a lot of waiting for it. However, it is very central, up a small crowded street directly behind the big Traders Hotel. Its ok for a night or two and I would not suggest you need more than that in Yangon, there are much better places to visit around Myanmar.
Friendly staff, but not yet fully trained and I was surprised that their English was not as good as you would find in my home city of Hanoi!
I am sure things will improve in Myanmar, but at present remember you are visiting an underdeveloped country.More
