“overall good cheap and in city centre but "POOR WIFI"”
Reviewed 17 December 2012

i was on business trip.

Hotel is near to city center, but internet is very poor, no computer in room, wifi is very poor, coffee maker has to be in room.

there is fridge in the room.

for hot water you need to go to restaurant which is not good, my room was on 5th floor for hot water i need to come to get hot water

"if you business person, we careful their wifi is poor..."

Room Tip: i think all rooms are equal.

We had stayed at Kaya for a week, The Hotel location is brilliant, very close to subway station(about 5 minutes walk). What can I say about Hotel? The staff are very good.We didn not eat at Hotel,as there is hundreds places to eat around it,for a better value. Also rooms need painting badly, and cleaner should concentrate more on carpets..Towels and bedding were changed daily, and water was restock in fridge. We had a great stay in Korea, and would love to go back one day!If you are on a budget this Hotel is for you!

Room Tip: Ask for a rooms facing a street, our was facing Seoul Tower. The view was great!!

The rooms and the hotel were a bit dated, but for the most part it was good. Also the bathrooms looked newer than the rest of the hotel, which was nice.

The location was very good, only a few mins walk to two different subway lines making it easy to get around the city.

Overall I think it's a good value hotel in the heart of Seoul.

I usually get it right booking hotels reading tripadvisor but this one was off the mark. Front desk confirmed they don't have designated non-smoking room when I asked for one. And I was so wrong when I thought the in-room air purifier would help. The room stank of cigarette smoke the whole night! It was horrible and I even came down with respiratory allergies which only clear up after I left the place.
Would not recommend. Subway wasn't too close with a 10min walk crossing busy intersection.

Just a few minutes away from Seoul Station and from everywhere else in Seoul. A truly central location. The room I got had a comfortable queen sized bed, a little wardrobe, a flat screen, large mirror, bedside table and lamp. Also AC and bar fridge with free bottled water supplied. The view was disappointing in that you see the facade of the next building and very little sunlight enters so the room lights need to be turned on always. The bathroom was fairly large. High pressure hot/cold shower and large vanity basin and mirror. There's a Seven-Eleven store just outside the Hotel so this was very good when I needed that late-night snack or deodorant! the staff were very friendly. check out was at 12 but I still had a few hours before I left Seoul, and the hotel allows you to leave your luggage with Reception while you do your last-minute sight-seeing...they also gave me their business card which has a little message in Korean for your non-English speaking taxi driver to guide you to their hotel. A great budget hotel in the heart of Seoul...two thumbs up!!!

We changed to Kaya hotel from the terrible Rainbow hotel. Two weeks in advance we tried to book a room in Kaya, but the hotel was fully booked. But since we arrived to Seoul on a typhoon day and almost all flights were cancelled, I suppose there were some room cancellations and therefore we got a room. We asked to see the room before paying but were not allowed. Since Kaya is cheaper than Rainbow, we were a bit worried about what we would get, but we thought that virtually nothing can be worse than Rainbow and risked. Actually, when we finally saw the room it exceeded far our expectations: it was spacious, clean and included all the amenities. Overall, I should say that Kaya is an excellent, albeit old, hotel at a very modest price. Highly recommended.

This hotel has nothing to write about but is a clean room, quiet, and near the metro. The price I have done better, but not bad. Down town Seoul is hubbed around the Seoul train station, and is one metro stop away. The room has private bath, shower (no shower curtain so water sprays around) but has a small refridgerator and good wifi.
