My wife and I took the North Tower tour on Mt Namsan and then went to Meyong Dong market. We came across a restaurant claiming "Best Korean Restaurant in Seoul" and thought, Yea Right! What a cool little place! Perhaps not the best restaurant in Seoul, but maybe the best restaurant in Seoul for lunch!
Literally there are only four items on the menu and water to drink - we loved it! We had the spicy noodles, the noodle soup and the dumplings - and a waitress walked around serving kimchi from a bucket! The noodle soup was fine, but the dumplings and spicy noodles were as good as I've had anywhere - and I lived in Korea for two years.
The kimchi had a rich spicy flavor as did the spicy noodles. The dumplings were top notch, but each table had a small container of a scallion garlic soy mixture which I added to the tiny bowl of soy sauce one would typically dip dumplings in - all told, the best dumplings ever!
The cost was 24,000 won - $22 bucks - and we had leftovers!
