Stayed only for one night, but really enjoyed it. The rooms are spacious (I had a corner room 801) and have all amenities needed. Including in-room safe, good WiFi connection, comfortable beds, well-sized bathroom and shower (no bathtub). The hotel has quite a unique design and looks very modern. It's quite nice. I also liked the swings in the lobby area for waiting guests. Staff was very helpful and nice. Check-in and check-out was also very quick without problems. Couldn't try the restaurant downstairs, but it was always quite full. So probably good as well. The location is definitely the biggest advantage of this hotel. Right down the road from most of the bars and nightlife in Itaweon. Also great to stay here if you want to explore the beautiful back roads of this district or the rest of Seoul. Airport shuttle bus leaves right across from the hotel, which is also very convenient. Would definitely come back.

Room Tip: All X01 rooms are corner rooms with a tiny, closed balcony.

Stayed here in June for three nights on a business trip. Odd place. Funky, but in a slightly weird way, particularly with the very dark corridors - virtually had to activate the torch on my mobile to navigate to my room!! That said, very good value for money. Room was fine. Comfortable bed with none of the air-conditioning issues mentioned in other reviews. Decent enough bathroom amenities, comfortable bed, usual tea/coffee making facilities and even an ipod docking station!! Wifi up to the usual high standards you find in this part of the world. Breakfast not great but Starbucks is a couple of buildings to the right as you walk out of the hotel.
Very limited food and beverage offering but you really don't need it. Situated in Itaewon, the hotel is on the edge of a lively strip with a plethora of good bars and restaurants all within a fifteen minute walk, so no worries on that score.
Would I stay here again? Depends. If I were to visit on vacation and on a bit of a budget then yes. Itaewon is a fun place to be and a leafy part of the city - it has a good vibe and a fairly large western population with the nearby US forces base and the IP is good value. That said, the Grand Hyatt offers a five star alternative and is not too far away.
If travelling on business then your choice of hotel will be largely dependent upon your meeting(s) location(s). Seoul has three CBDs and traffic is horrendous so it really is all about location. This is an OK option, but , it is not a Conrad nor a Ritz Carlton. It depends what you want.

Stayed here for business. The staff went out of their way to make sure I made it to my destinations and provided me with all the information I needed. The room was stunning and in keeping with the hotels design. The room had ample facilities, the only slight nag was that the air conditioning didn't seem to work and the room got very stuffy. Lots to see and do in the area including some great nightlife. Would highly recommend.

The hotel tries hard to be stylish, and pulls it off.
The location is perfect in the heart of Itaewon (tip, walk up one of the narrow hills on either side of the main road and you´ll find great restaurants!!)

Our first two nights were not perfect due to a very noisy generator or something on the roof, but we asked to change rooms and they happily obliged.

Everything is super clean, the free wifi is efficient and the service is friendly.

Will stay here again!

Room Tip: Not the top floor. Poor shower pressure and noisy fans on the roof.

Funkily designed hotel, good location, comfortable bed, nice shower/bathroom...but no aircon. When I informed reception there was no explanation-the gentleman on reception merely agreed that there was indeed no functioning aircon in my room, and that I should open the window... on returning to my room I discovered that the window didn't open. The helpful clock/thermometer on the wall indicated that the room temperature didn't get below 27 deg C for my stay...Not ideal for a good sleep.

This is a very nice hotel, well located (its neighborhood seems 24/7), subway station nearby (3min. walking), well decorated and helpful staff. Rooms are small (this is Seoul...), good toiletries. I don't recommend the breakfast at Cafe Amiga, the hotel's restaurant - a little bit expensive and the options were not too much fresh. There is a Starbucks next door but I recommend the Korean bakery called Paris Baguette near the subway station (this is the same chain already present in some American cities - I know one in Berkeley and another in Los Angeles): good coffee and fresh selection of bread all day long. You won't regret.

One of the reason i choose to stay at Ip Boutique Hotel is the design, when i first step in, it's colorful decoration fascinated me. Though it looks not very new, it's not a big deal. What i wonder is why the corridor is weirdly lightless, it contrast sharply with other places in the hotel. As to the location , we can't go many shopping center without transfer, but it only takes a short time to get to Iteawon station. Also there are lots of night clubs & bar & foreign style restaurants around the hotel, it may be the best choice for people who loves to go those kind of place. Most of all, the bell boy kindly help us to deliver luggage to airport bus stop no matter how cold outside. The service of the front desk n concierge is good. I'll recommend my friends to stay at the hotel when they have opportunity to go seoul.
