We stayed four nights at the hotel Amare. Everything was great.
The location is perfect (very close to the Jongno 3 Ga station, many streetfood tents and Western and Korean restaurants nearby).
The room was big (we booked a standard room) and clean, equipped with a jacuzzi bathtub, a big flat TV screen, two computers and a minibar (free). The decoration is nice. The hotel is quiet.
The price is cheap for such a place.
You cannot have breakfast there but as I mentioned above, there is plenty of options for that in the neighborhood.

We were staying at the next door Hotel Pop, decided to jump ship after 3 days.
The decor here is nicer and newer. I walked in and was surprise how much cheaper than our hotel, and it is even cheaper if we check in after 10pm. There were a lot of restaurant just outside the next street and walking to tourist attraction in 10mins.
The reception is very helpful, and they refused to be tip!
But do not expect them to speak English here, but we managed with sign language and google translate...
Only down side is there is no wardrobe of any kind, you gotta live out of your suitcase.
Strangely they have 2 PC but won't even provide a drawer...

Anyway we love this hotel for its location, and most of all the price, however it is more suitable for couples.

BTW it is a LOVE hotel, and we simply love it!

Room Tip: walk in rate is cheaper...

Clean room with nice clean decor. We had room 1007 which is the top floor. Two computers and sub, huge tv, shampoo, conditioner, sponge, flat iron, blow dyer, brushes, hairspray, face lotions and toners, body lotions. They also refill the free bottled water, powerade, barley tea and orange juice daily when the room is cleaned.

Hotel is close to the road but as there are other side roads, might get a little confusing.
The rooms provided were really spacious and tall. Amenities provided (a 36inch TV, 2 PCs, Jacuzzi, Automated light censors)were also all in working order.
Staff were courteous and helpful. Arrived early and they offered to store my bags first while i went out.
Mcdonalds outside and lots of eateries around. Pubs litter the area so drinks are also convenient.

Room Tip: Free Minibars included if you are into these stuff. Non alcoholic drinks.

The hotel is well hidden and inconspicuous from the outside, and quite hard to find without some help from the locals, but boy, was it a precious find.

On the very high end of the spectrum of love hotels - our room was superb, ultra comfortable, with a huge bed, a giant TV taking up half the wall, beefed up with electronic gadgets and a jacuzzi. On top of it all, there were 2 powerful PCs with large HP monitors (awesome for a date with a Starcraft player!).

Also, it was impeccably clean, which is not always the case in Asian hotels of this standard. The location is wonderful too - close to the subway station and all of the main arteries, with a great variety of atmospheric local places to eat within 100m of the hotel.

We only stayed one night before our departure, but we wished we had found it earlier. Highly recommended!

I loved my stay in this hitel. We had a huge TV, two PCs with internet, very nice bathroom with jacuzzi. It was one of the best value for money hotels I have ever stayed in. The location is also close to a main road but not right in it so not too crowded. Would highly recommend.
